Please get the newest version Floodplain v3,1 for bugfixes and LudiKRIS support.

This script generates a random map that has been flooded and has large areas of shallow water. Land units might well find themselves fighting ships in the vast floodplains. There are bonus gold and stone islands and other surprises.
And you never know when you might get rushed from across the shallows...

This is my first published random map script, so tell me what you think and if you notice any issues.
To play choose the following when setting up a match
Map style - Custom
Location - Floodplain v1.1

(The map may not perform as expected when choosing a small map size for a large number of players)

Will do, most certainly!

The most recent version should be v1.1. I just posted two new maps yesterday and today - check them out! :)

No, I don't have any suggestions. I just wanted to be sure that I had the most recent version. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to try out your other random maps :)

@Agurk Bear - I'm glad that you are enjoying the map. I have not updated it very recently since it seems to work fine in the current version. Are you asking because you have some changes to suggest, or because you want to unsubscribe while still being sure of having the most recent version?

I've been playing this map a few times now. I really love the look of it and it plays real nicely :)

I like the idea that all land masses are reachable "by foot" from every other land mass on the map. I'm also extraordinarily fond of those small gold/stone islands guarded by packs of wolves. The number of wolves guarding these islands make these resources almost unacheivable in the beginning of the game, which means there'll be untouched gold/stone findings left for mid-game and late-game.

Zetnus, are you still updating the RM?

@Imhien - If you are having the problem that you can't find the file using the uploader, what you have to do is type the file name in manually when you are in the right folder and then it should work.

This map plays really nicely! Decent eye-candy and resource distribution as well.

I've been dying to upload my own RMS but can't figure out how - the ingame uploader doesn't seem to support it :S Can you help?

@Xyzy - Fish jumping through sand is a definite problem; I will see if I can create a fix for that. I haven't noticed any split groups of deer, but I I'll keep my eyes open.

@Colto - The shortcut for a full map screenshot is (CTRL + F12). HOWEVER, at the moment this feature is not working properly with the steam version of AOE (the screenshot does not save). So I opened the file in my non-steam version to make the full map screenshot.

nice map, only a bit sad that deer patches can be split up by groups of trees en marlins seems to live in the sands :P, they are plased directly at the cost, but that tile is more sands than water
