Description
With this mod, the Apprentice, Lady, Mage, Serpent, Thief, Tower, and Warrior stones act as character classes, accelerating advancement in major skills and halting advancement in others.

IMPORTANT: If you have the Apprentice, Lady, or Serpent effect when you enable this mod, it will be lost. This issue is fixed as soon as you visit a different standing stone. Also, this mod is not designed for use with "I'm a Hero, Not a Businessman".

The altered standing stones have the following effects:
Apprentice: Learn magic and stealth skills 30% faster, but combat skills cannot be improved.
Lady: Learn combat and magic skills 30% faster, but stealth skills cannot be improved.
Mage: Learn magic skills 50% faster, but other skills cannot be improved.
Serpent: Skills cannot be improved. As a lesser power, sacrifice Magicka and Stamina to paralyze a distant target.
Thief: Learn stealth skills 50% faster, but other skills cannot be improved.
Tower: Learn combat and stealth skills 30% faster, but magic skills cannot be improved.
Warrior: Learn combat skills 50% faster, but other skills cannot be improved.

This mod fixes the bug where the Warrior and Thief stones considered Archery a stealth skill, as well as the bug where training has no effect if a skill is 0% from the next level. You will, however, gain no benefit from training in a skill that your standing stone opposes (e.g. Sneak for those under the Warrior, Mage, or Lady).

I'm no longer supporting this mod, as I've found that "I'm a Hero, Not a Businessman" (http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=137808637) is a better solution for unwanted skill advancement.

Update: Lacking perks in a skill no longer causes you to advance half as quickly. This caused significant issues with skill book advancement, and I could come up with no good solution other than to remove the aforementioned effect entirely.

The Serpent Stone is for those who are satisfied with their current level and skills (and don't want the enemies to level up any more) and for those who want to do a low-level challenge (e.g. collect all the dragon masks at level 1). I wouldn't expect that one to get a lot of use.

You realize that using the serpent stone means you literally stop leveling up, right?
I think that you should instead have it so that the stones increase certain skill sets at a higher rate, while other skill sets get no bonus, like the Guardian stones do.

Update online now: The training bug from the vanilla game seemed to get worse with this mod, so I fixed it. Also, the mod no longer alters AVAlchemy, AVAlteration, etc., so it should now be compatible with a lot of other mods that alter perk trees or the advancement rates of individual skills.

It works perfectly with current save games as long as you don't load your game with the Apprentice, Lady, or Serpent Stone active (and even then, the issue is fixed as soon as you visit a different stone).

I love playing pure mage sign mage great idea thank you for making this I hope it works as well as advertised will this effect my current save game?
