Description
I love horses and noticed, there were no wild horses on Skyrim like there were on Oblivion! So I added them. I added herds of horses big and small around Skyrim. I added stallions, mares, colts, and fillies. Yes you can ride them, but they just run away if you get off of them. I have made some wild horses that used to be domesticated and are used to humans. So you can ride those and they won't run away. :D

Note:

To make other horse mods work like Better Horses, change the load order. Set other horse mods to load AFTER Wild Horses.

If you don't know how, open Skyrim, click on Data Files, check Wild Horses, then check the other horse mods. :)

Update 6:

Wild horses finally move around! I figured out how to make the horses move around like normal horses would instead of standing there like statues.

Update 5:

I am currently making two seperate mods for the ponies and special horses. (nightmares, ghost horses, etc.) I have removed them from this mod in this update.

Update 4:

Hopefully made shadow horses non-aggressive.
GHOST HORSES AND NIGHTMARES! :O
Added a map marker for shadow horses/ponies. (you'll have to find them yourself though)

Update 3:

Removes saddles from shadow horses and ponies to make them look wild.
Makes shadow horses and ponies faster than wild horses. (Which is VERY fast)
Makes special places for shadow horses and ponies.

Update 2:

Ponies (rare!)
Shadow horses and ponies (Only four in existence) I'm not showing any pictures because they are special. ;)
Added herds in Falkreath Hold

Update 1:

Added herds in The Rift
Added geldings
Added formerly domesticated horses
Added fillies
Made stallions and geldings a little bigger than mares
Sped up wild horses alot

Horse Genders:

Stallions
Mares
Fillies
Colts
Geldings

(Geldings are always formerly domesticated. Stallions and Geldings are a tiny bit bigger than mares.)

Colors:

Grey
Paint
Brown
Black
Palomino

Herds added in:

Whiterun Hold
The Rift
Falkreath Hold

Bugs:

This mod has a wild edit that will override Unlimited Bookshelves and/or Unofficial Skyrim Patch . EditorID: ArmorBanditCuriass1 (0010564B) is deleted by this mod. If you use it with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch you'll need to fix this with TES5Edit.

A: Yes.

I'm using this so I don't have to butcher the horses at the stables

I really enjoy this mod. I added it late game and have found no bugs/issues. I already have faster vanilla horses mod and it doesnt conflict with this at all - which is great! I love that the wild horses are super fast. It also works with the follower can ride horses mod and can become one of your 6 'owned' horses if you are using the ultimate follower mod. all in all thumbs up! :)

This is cool mod that helps add to the immersion of Skyrim, but introduces a bug into the beginning because it makes the horses of General Tullius and Hadvar move faster than they are supposed to and eventually causing the two carriages to turn and either get stuck on a rock or tree or do flips and spins until they get to the gate which usually close before they can get through them (it's slightly different every time) so unless you want to laugh or play roulette to try and get through the gates turn this mod on after you create your character or leave helgen

Sadly my game crashes as soon as I go into an area where horses are supposed to be :(

I may have found a bug: the tracking for the cart horses at the very beginning was messed up. They didn't stay on the road and got stuck trying to walk through a building. I disabled this mod, restarted the game and the horses went where they were supposed to.

I don't know if it is this mod, but when I installed several new mods, including this one, skyrim crashes right after the Bethesda thing shows ;-;

Before I got Shadowmere this mod helped a lot. I'm still keeping it because I love how the wild horses look when I'm traveling through Skyrim :)
