What is Weapon Test Dummies?
Weapon Test Dummies is an action packed strategy/puzzle and tower defense game with over 40 unlockable turrets and abilities. Each unlock has a unique purpose, and there are dozens of strategies that can be used to beat the same level. This isn't your average tower defense either. Its not uncommon to kill hundreds or even thousands of Dummies in just a few minutes, all in the name of science!

Please be aware, this game is in ALPHA (Early Testing Version) and many of the gameplay and graphical elements are still going through upgrades.

Try it Now, Free!
You can play a FREE ALPHA DEMO for LINUX, WINDOWS and MAC of the game on desura:

A Message from the Creator
Hey guys, I made this game over the last year and a half with the help of my brother, while working a full time job. We have big plans for where we want to take the game, but it could take us a really long time without your support. If you'd like to try the game for free and give some feedback, check out the free Alpha Demo on desura:

What's Still Being Improved?
1) Improved artwork, we are slowly replacing the prototype art, but this takes a long time. Many of the dummies, turrets, menus and tilesets are still being improved.

2) Combo system/Reward/Leveling system for levels, to give them more replayability and strategic mastery.

3) Many more levels and unlocks.

4) More rewards and different ways to unlock, and high score rewards.

5) Multiplayer (way down the road, but possible).

6) Company building - In Weapon Test Dummies, you run a research company, I would like to add other avenues of investment, such as building a city around your research lab to give you many different ways to build and expand your empire.

How is Weapon Test Dummies different than other Tower Defense games?
1) Mass carnage - In this tower defense there are hundreds of enemies on the screens at times

2) Unique style - The game isn't a clone or a copy of another game's style, the final style will be unlike any other game

3) New Research system - Research dozens of different abilities and turrets

4)Puzzle elements - Strategically block off paths to route dummies across traps - Want to expand this further with environmental effects that exist for levels, like make the dummies walk through a river to slow their speed.

So please show your support and help us make this game great!

With the massive variety of completely different upgrades for the towers, this is still one of my favorite TDG. It's a shame this isn't green lit yet.

I bought the alpha on desura & this is more worthy of being on steam than alot of games on steam. I'm here to support that fact.

You're doing just enough new stuff with this that I'd pick it up for a reasonable price. You need to bring that research to the forefront of your trailer that plays when this page opens, though. Showing straight tower defense is alright, but I'd bring in the research aspect sooner rather than later.

Really not interested in any more tower defense games, as I don't see much that sets this apart from all the others:(

For STEAM, no, but try it on Newgrounds, as @joshparr said.

Hey Christ, thanks a bunch for trying it out. I appreciate it.

No Kitty, i would say that your best bet would probably be to go through to get your start. newgrounds is owned and operated by Tom Fulp, the man behind Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers, his site is very well known in the community for its humorous games, art, and videos. Alien Hominid actually started as a flashgame on newgrounds as did several other titles like N+. in short, it is the perfect place to get revenue, keep the content free, and recieve constant feedback to help with future projects. who knows? you could get published on consoles one day. thanks for your patience

I've never down voted a game just because I would not purchase the game.

And though I have never played a tower defense game, and so would not be able to make a judgment upon how your Weapon Test Dummies could possible differ from the multitude that crowds this genre.

I'm downloading the Demo, and while the "Dodo" tower defense is the only one I've up voted (for its hilarity alone), this might be another.

I played all three levels once and was marked for 100%, and while I still would rather go outside and shovel snow than play a tower defense game, I only dozed off once.

I'll never know how you get through testing and debugging these games without shooting yourself in the face. But on its own merit, it would seem to be a decent alpha and a well thought out game. Perhaps it even has depth.

Steam for YOU!!!!
