Dust & Dirt: Screen Effect

Description
Adds Dust & Dirt particles overlay onto screen.
Immerse yourself in the world of Left 4 Dead by getting a little grime on that nice and clean screen of yours. The effect is a screen overlay and will be on at all times. This overlay is set to appear as if it fades between Dust & Dirt. Brightly lit areas will show Dirt marks scattered over the screen, while Dimly lit areas will show a more Dust covered screen.

Incompatibilities
-Any & All Crosshair Mods (i.e. White Dot/Red Dot)
-Letterbox: Screen Effect

[Effect in screenshots is exaggerated to show detail. Screen effect will be much more subtle in game.]

::This mod was created using "Darkhunter/REDNBLACK/OMGOT's" work.::

OK, I actually found where my mods were, but, I drag Dust and Dirt and Slim HUD Alternative to vpk and I try to open vpk, and it still doesn't work. It seems to be opening in a .bat format, I think that's the issue. I don't know how to change it though. Is it supposed to be opened as a .bat or on Notepad?

Ah, slight problem, I don't see any of my installed add-ons from the Workshop in my workshop folder. I've seen them there before but they aren't there for some reason. Any suggestions?

I know, below are instructions on how to merge them (so they play nice) into one mod.

It should be fairly simple to merge the mods yourself, all you need is L4D2 authoring tools (in the tools section of the steam library) to unpack/repack mods.

-Head to:
SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\bin
,right click vpk.exe send to desktop.
-Drag each mod onto vpk shortcut.
-Copy "materials" folder from D&D into hud mod's folder.
-Open hud mod's script folder, open hudlayout.res with notepad.
-Insert following code in between overview & hudcommentary:

Dust&Dirt
{
"ControlName" "ImagePanel"
"fieldName" "dust&dirt"
"xpos" "c-512"
"ypos" "c-256"
"zpos" "c-1000"
"wide" "1024"
"tall" "512"
"pinCorner" "0"
"visible" "1"
"enabled" "1"
"image" "hud/dustanddirt"
"scaleImage" "1"
}

Save, then drag edited mod folder onto vpk shortcut. Done!
