Gameplay Video!
Hey Pilots!
We took some time and recorded an actual PC game play video in both Portrait and Landscape View modes of the game. The two pilots you see in the video are Beast in the Mosquito (left) and Freshman in the Spitfire (right).

Let us know what you think!

First Update & Answers
Release date: Q2 2013
YOU have to show what you’re made of as the war over Europe is in full swing. Fight waves of Axis planes and panzers until you hit the boss enemies – the ACES OF THE LUFTWAFFE.

It is the darkest hour for England. The Axis are sending their best into the Battle of Britain, and only a handful of brave pilots are left to destroy them. Get into your war plane and don’t let go of the trigger before each and every enemy has been blown out of the skies! But even if you vanquish the notorious Aces of the Luftwaffe, are you prepared to take the fight to the mainland?

Will YOU foil the occult plans of the Luftwaffe to spread darkness over England?

✔ Play in Landscape or Portrait view on Pivot Monitors
✔ Choose and upgrade your plane and pilot
✔ Multiple Campaigns and Mission Types
✔ Beat super tough bosses
✔ Local Co-Op Multiplayer

1.8 GHz Processor
OpenGL / DirectX 9 capable Graphics card (256 MB Memory)

Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, MacOS X Mountain Lion, MacOS X Lion, MacOS X Snow Leopard, Ubuntu Linux

Thanks for following Aces of the Luftwaffe - we want your feedback!

Question 1: Will the game be letterboxed?
Answer: HELL NO - you will be able to play the game as either a horizontal shooter (with the HUD, perspective and shadows tilted) on your Big Screen TV or PC monitor, or as an arcade cabinet style vertical shooter if you have a pivot capable monitor. If you have a 4:3 screen, the game will scale appropriately (you will see a wider but same length section of the playfield as on a 16:10 screen).

Question 2: Why can't I play as the Germans?
Answer: GOOD POINT - The game was originally named after the boss enemies, the Aces of the Luftwaffe. Your feedback means we are making plans for a German Luftwaffe Missions campaign, and you'll be able to unlock German planes to fly for the standard campaigns as well. The Me 262, Bf 109, Bf 110, and Fw 190 are our candidates for player-controlled planes we might add. Which ones would you like best?

Question 3: Which Linux Distros will be supported?
Answer: AS MANY AS POSSIBLE. Currently, we can only guarantee Ubuntu support, however, I expect our middleware to support most popular distros in the future. We'll keep our Linux fans updated as soon as we get the game to work on flavors of Linux!

Question 4: Is there a Co-Op Multiplayer?
Answer: WORK IN PROGRESS - there's currently a B-17 bomber in the game that you can fly with two gamepads, one player controlling the turrets, the other the movement & bombs. We'd also love to have two or more player game play in Aces of the Luftwaffe in a variety of ways, including flying multiple independent planes.

I am going through a list of Greenlight items that I have upvoted based on a decision made by Steam to reject a refund request on a defective purchase. At this point I am removing my upvotes until I get some answers to some questions:
- Will it be available for purchase through other sites?
- Will people purchasing through other sites get a Steam key?

Whether I purchase it at all will be dependent on whether it will be available for purchase through other digital distributors. Whether I will upvote this or not will be dependent on whether purchases from other sites will require Steam activation or if we will be provided with Steam keys from those purchases once it passes Greenlight. I don't have a problem with Steam activation if it's a must, but I won't purchase new games directly from them anymore.
