Description
City 8 Canals
A map by Dave Brown, created for Taco 'N' Banana's Half-Life 2 Roleplay server.

City 8 is the Combines Citadel based in what used to be Tokyo, Japan. Outside the city walls runs a maze of sewers, canal runoffs, tunnels and so forth that allow the resistance to smuggle refugees out towards the wastelands beyond.

The map runs in a double-linear design, allowing Combine forces to patrol the topside whilst refugees can operate along a parallel route underneath them, occasionally crossing paths in trainyards and other intersections.

Features -
A huge maze of tunnel systems that lead from inside the city, under the Citadel walls and out towards the wastelands.
Double-Linear design. Multiple crossing paths and tunnels means there is always at least 2 ways out of any place!
Doors scripted for use with Tacoscript1/2
Huge 3D skybox puts you deep within the dirty canals, as the highrise city looms above.
Custom graffiti and many other props/textures such as Ramen stands and animated neon signs.
Citadel moves when "Judgement Waiver" is activated
Hologram Dispatch signs
Interactive Dispatch control interface
Resistance stronghold operates a stolen "Combine Interface Core" - uplinked to laptops, this can hack open some security checkpoints.
Combine outposts along the canals give many ideal spots for sniper teams etc.

I haven't got CSS and the map runs perfectly. I think it has something to do with HL2 and of course, Ep1 and Ep2

If you got CSS and still have errors, try getting HL2 - HL2 EP 1 & 2

Hey maker, I love this mape, I realy do, but sadly it's ben ruined with an update- it's filled with borked purple textures. If you can fix it I'd be immesely appreciative.

Wow, this looks like a dramatic war movie when you combine it with the right Post Processing settings and the Rain and Storm from Post Processing Plus. Great Map!

To those of you wondering how to open doors, simply put in the console bind key "ent_fire !picker toggle" Then walk up to a door and press whatever key you binded it to and it will open.

What else do I need besides CS:S? There's entire panels and train cars missing. Do I need Episode 1/2?
