Sutvaka Fortified Estate

In the mountains between dragons, bandits, giants and the icy cold weather there is safety to be found. On a ridge defiantly stands the Sutvaka Fortified Estate between these dangers of the wilds. So drop the drawbridge and enter.

To get the key to the Estate you must travel to Fort Dunstad. In the Fort Dunstad prison, go to the top floor and look underneath the table. There is a strongbox on the floor which holds the key and an additional note. You could also try to find Sparrow. He is a high level character who you have to kill to get the key. Sparrow is optional because some players reported that he would not appear.

Sutvaka is a Windhelm styled player home located near shearpoint between Whiterun and Windhelm. It has a Player home, a tower with a view, barracks for your staff, a prison, secret chambers and an escape route through a tunnel system. In these tunnels lives a smuggler who buys stolen goods. To enter Sutvaka, just drop the drawbridge and open the portculis. The buttons for both are behind a pillar to your right. One in front of the drawbridge and one after the drawbridge.

This medium/large sized player home is equiped with all the things you might need. But for a lot is hidden away in the secret chambers below Sutvaka. To get to these hidden chambers, go to the basement armory where a button is hidden. This button will open the secret door leading to the chambers. However the basics for sharpening and improving can also be found in the barracks.

Here's a list of what you'll find:

- Gatehouse with guards.
- Guards patrolling the grounds.
- a couple of chickens
- a Chopping block.
- a tower with a view.
- Dog follower
- Stable with horses

Main house.
- a living room with a steward/merchant with decent amount of gold.
- a maid/Assasin follower who is so poor that she cant even afford her own equipment. however, she is very stealthy.
- a dining room
- a kitchen
- a basement armory
- Master bedroom
- a guest bedroom.
- Shrines for the Divines.
- And the secret door which leads to the secret chambers.

- The basics for smithing.
- Beds for your staff.
- Beds for free followers in the attic.
- a bard
- a door which leads to the prison.
- a door which leads to the guest quarters for companion hoarders.

- a portculis. On the basement side it can be opened with a lever. But on the tunnel side you have to use a pressure stone mounted on the wall near a candle (not perk sensitive, just walk up against it). Dont use the lever in the tunnels (ask Admiral Ackbar why).
- a room with a smuggler with a lot of gold. Door is also hidden and can be opened with a pressure stone on a wall.
- a secret exit.
- Ebony Ore veins.

Secret chambers.
- Plenty of weaponracks and mannequins
- a fully equiped smithy.
- Alchemy stattion
- Enchantment station
- 3 vaults. One with general storage and racks, one with busts and clawmounts, the third with mannequins.
- a library.
- Armory
- Underground botanical garden

Everything is fully navmeshed so you can bring in your own followers.
The chests are safe to store your items.

There are no other mods required but i recommend: Amazing Follower Tweaks.

And the spouse to custom house mod if you want your spouse to live here. It can be dowloaded from nexus.

If you want to have the entire family living here i recommend the Custom Family Home mod.
Custom family home mod made by VitchRazor.

If you want your followers to stay here you could use this mod: My Home Is Your Home - a mod for followers by Volek

If you want to make full use of the prison i recommend

Made with the Modders resource pack from Oaristys & Tony67 which can be downloaded from nexus: (not necessary for play)

Made with the Openbook and Bookset resource packs from Blary which can be downloaded from nexus:

Q - How do i download?
A - Just click the subscribe button and wait at startup until all your mods are properly loaded and updated.

Q - I cant get into sutvaka.
A - To drop the drawbridge activate the top pullbar at the gatehouse. You should see 2 pullbars when you open the gate of the gatehouse. The top one is for both bridges. The bottom one is a backup in case the back bridge is behaving out of sync. To open the portcullis, walk across the bridge and look behind the first collum to your right. There is a button mounted on the pillar which opens the gate.

Q - I cant find Sutvaka
A - This one is actualy tricky and can be caused due to various reasons. A common reason is that you haven't let the mod manager properly load. Another reason can be a load order problem. So far i haven't found any mods that conflict with Sutvaka.

Q - I cant find the secret chamber.
A - Go to the basement armory in the main house (the room with 2 mannequins and weaponracks) and look for a wallmounted Chaurus head. The head is a button that opens a secret door.

Q - The vault is locked and i cant find the lever.
A - The pullbar is located up on a wall to your left. Use a torch because it is hidden in darkness.

Q - NPC's have grayface.
A - This is a Creationkit - Steamupload issue. The creationkit wont upload facemeshes to steam.
If it realy bugs you then you best switch over to the Nexus version. Nexus does allow Face Mesh and Texture upload.

Q - Can i move my family here?
A - Only if you use the Custom family home mod made by VitchRazor.

Also available on nexus:
If you like the mod please rate and comment.

@.מיטשל אנסטט There are currently no plans in doing that. Honestly i find it hard to find the motivation to do so ever since the Creation Club was released.

Would you consider moving this to Skyrim Special Edition?
Storm_at_Sea Sep 18 @ 10:16am
Oh, I just suggested it because I thought it would be easier (thought you could port it or similar). Any desire to make a home in Solstheim's snowy north? As a whole, far as homes go, the island's been quite ignored.

@Storm_at_Sea. That would require rebuilding the mod. Would be easier to create a whole new mod.

Hey, I've enjoyed this house in Skyrim a long time now, but I'm frustrated there aren't any good home mods in Solstheim.

Would you be willing just to add this 'also' on Soltheim?

Not asking for changes or anything, just an extra on the island of Solstheim as well, in the snowy area, since there's already a small player home in the south in Raven Rock.

Thanks for reading.

Thanks for telling me.

@A Tall Midget. No, should not be necessary. Although its always better to start a new game when you have downloaded a bunch of mods and changed your load order. But again, it should not be necessary.

Do i need to start a new save to use this?
Nico Jun 30 @ 9:21pm
best house mod in this game.
Metalwraith031  [author] Jun 30 @ 3:59pm
@Rook013. Should be. Unless you are a manical hoarder that likes to display every piece of clothing ever made or modded into the game :)
