Are you a non-Nord wandering around a frozen country filled with tall people who like to spend their days fighting, singing, starting civil wars, griping about religious figure hating elves and the Empires who were forced into a treaty with them... and drinking so much %#&!ing alcohol you can practically hear their brain cells screaming in agony before their deaths?

Are you tired of wandering around needing something to drink that doesn't have any negative effects other than those healing potions you've been stocking up for when you need them?

Have you sworn off booze forever because the last time you got drunk, you staggered into an Imperial ambush and woke up in a cart with a rebel Jarl on his way to get beheaded, only to get attacked by a big %#&!ing black dragon?!

Are you a Khajiit? 'Nuff said.

Well then, this is the mod for you!

I made this because I'm clean and sober in real life and my hatred of alcohol borders on the psychotic. And yet, there is NOTHING else to drink in Skyrim... well, until Hearthfire came out and then came the milk jugs. However, I made the original version of this mod before that came out.

So I made this mod... I prefer the Dragonborn clean and sober. After all, you'd figure that you wouldn't want to see a person who can shout shockwaves, fire, frost, and whatever else getting drunk. He might wind up wrecking the place! Imagine having to explain THAT to the guards.

So, now, if you look behind the counter of every inn, you'll find that, despite their professing intolerence for anyone who drinks the wholesome drink that strengthens bones and teeth, they keep a small supply all ready to be sold... just in case.

And as an added laugh, I've placed some milk bottles in the houses that you can purchase and in certain other areas around Skyrim... and another place you would DEFINITELY not expect to find milk. Not to mention the dreaded SECRET BARREL OF SHAME!!! If you look around carefully, you might find out that someone just might be a closet milk drinker. The horror... THE HORROR!

AND... you will also get the satisfaction that if any of those knuckle dragging Nords calls you a milk drinker, you can say: "That's right! I drink milk all the time! 'Cause I'm the (insert appropriate expletive here) Dragonborn! Got a problem with that? FUS RO DAH!!!"

As the title says, this is the HEARTHFIRE EDITION. It does everything the vanilla version does with a couple of improvements. Now all Hearthfire recipes that require the milk jug can use the bottled milk. You can also make the milk into butter. And I fixed an annoying little problem... now the milk bottles will not show up in the player homes until you've purchased the proper decorations for it. (I was tired of seeing milk bottles strewn around in Hjerim while doing the Blood on the Ice quest.)

BTW, since this is basically an updated version of the original milk mod, you won't need the old version. So you might want to unsubscribe from the old mod and uninstall it. Otherwise you'll have an extra mod that you don't really need.

UPDATE: Now that Dragonborn has referenced it, I added Canis Root Tea.

Could you possibly port this mod over to Skyrim Special Edition? I am rather upset that I can't enjoy the delicious milk from your mod in the beauty of Skyrim Special Edition. I mean, what good does it do to be in a more beautiful world if you're too drunk to even see it all the time? And I grow tired of drinking bland water from other mods. Coffee can only be tolerated for so long before I get the jitters. Have YOU ever tried to aim a bow at a dragon when caffeine has your hands dancing on their own? It's not easy. Soda just wouldn't make any sense whatsoever, not that I've found any soda mods, because I haven't. My point is that my Special Edition characters are in desperate need of a drink that only your mod can provide for them, delicious and nutritious milk. Please and thank you. :D

Could you add chocolate milk? I understand how that wouldn't fit into Skyrim but if it was sold at the Khajiit caravans it could make sense since cacao trees grow in tropical climates.

@CaptainRC - Be a Milk drinker
CC: MACHINESofGOD777 - Bethesta Berries

Hi Guys, first of all: Thank you for two very special, practical and humerous mods!

(am not fond of alc. myself but don't like milk much ither! But love juices... and the irony! :-D
and collecting and brewing and decorating in Skyrim and the wonderfull Junipertree- oh the smell of Denmark!)

Perhaps you think my request redundant, but I would realy love to have them together. (and am now preatty sure that "Milk" stopped "Berries" from working.) They are to be found in the same place: Inkeepers Inventory.

Is there any chance of making them work together?

To both of you "a good Slide" into the new Year -as we say here at home-
don't slip! Drink Milk with Berries! Heureka: "The Skyrim Smoothie!" ;-)

All the best wishes for the new jear, in private as also here in Skyrim!

Was so pleased to find a shelf of milk in Breezehome after I bought it. Also, I must add that apple juice and snowberry juice have saved my hide more times than I could count. They're probably more useful than potions. 10/10, would absolutely recommend.

@YUGEKUNAMI There's a patch that makes it work with RNaD. The link to it is on my Nexus page of this mod.
