UNOFFICIAL TITLE: The Bored Ultimatum
(Yes, I got that title from NintendoCaprSun.)

STORY: Another boring day in the observation rooms. GLaDOS doesn't seem to be watching, so you decide to jump into the chamber to mess around! After all,what could go wrong?

ALTERNATE STORY: I think it's time you got off that computer and jumped into testing!

NOTE: This is intentionally built after the Portal 1 chambers. It's Aperture reconstructing the original chambers, while you are just one of its average employees.
NOTE 2: If you think these maps suck, you're very well entitled to.

UPDATE:
- Fixed departure elevator doors.
- Fixed bug where you could sequence break the entire map.
- Fixed emancipation grid visibility.

- Greatly improved aesthetics.
- Added a little more challenge.
- Yes, updating this part contributes to Pt. 2 and 3.
CURRENT BUGS AND ISSUES:
- When in the first chamber, do NOT rush forward when the light bridge dissipates.
- The unmanipulatible redirection cube in Chamber 4 can sometimes bug out and parent improperly, in which case I have NO CLUE WHAT TO DO. God dang it.
- Do not portal behind the grating in the Ratman den in Chamber 05. You won't be able to get back out without noclipping or restarting.

WALKTHROUGH:
This map is fairly straightforward,so let me just note key moments:
*- The chamber panel will NOT open unless you left the chamber's power on via the lever in the observation room.
*- The ladder at the start DOES work if you stand in front of it and interact with it.
- In Chamber 06, you must fire the portal gun once after obtaining it to trigger GLaDOS's dialog.
- Chamber 03 is just simple vertical-flinging. Nothing too hard.
- In Chamber 04, burn all three Turrets underneath the laser to get the laser redirection cube and place it on the button.
- Head left after entering chamber 05 and hit the button to raise a cube receptacle out of the floor.
- Portal back into chamber 04 and take the cube back to Chamber 05. Place it on one of the buttons, facing the pit.
- Hop into the pit to find another cube and portal back up. Follow same cube-placing procedures as previous step.
- Both cubes should face the direction the pit is in, after which you should place your portals to make the laser come out of the wall beneath the observation room that places itself in the wall when you initially enter.
- When you get back to Chamber 06, ATLAS uses the breaker in your office to shut down the chamber's power. So that's how that happens. But,who shut down everything else? And who blew up the wall? FIND OUT NEXT TIME in part 2.

The test themselves hold no value, as they are just slightly modified versions of some Portal 1 and 2 tests. Bad ones, at that. Some modifications only visual. By all means, you could rate this map a -1/10 (Not quite a 7.8/10 Too much water, mind you) and I would agree.

I wasn't holding back at all. That's how I felt about it. I didn't think it was complete Garbage. If a map has decent puzzles then I'll like it. I can live with bad visuals but not bad puzzles.

The detail of the story portion of the map was lacking. The actually puzzles themselves were pretty decent. I managed to get stuck in the floor 30 secs into the map. I also got stuck again in the room with the companion cube, you can portal the ceiling in there, not sure if intended because I couldnt find a way out. Map is lacking quality control and details big time but I'll give it a thumbs up for the puzzles alone.

I have no clue what that is supposed to mean, but I think I have a pretty good idea of what you were trying to get across with your horrendous spelling and grammar.

This map is two years old now, so I couldn't care less of your dissent towards it. You should learn to withhold such opinions if the map in question is more than a year old, no matter the genre or the creator.

Yes, we get the point that the map has issues. If you'd stop rushing forward at every chance you got and avoided things that were clearly not meant to be traversed, then that would not have happened.

Hey everyone be careful in the very first room (where you get the Portal gun) don't go standing near the door when GLaDOS raises a wall. Stay by the place where you found the device. ("Let me get that for you.")
I rushed to the door when the light bridge got deactivated and ... ended up straight in the layout of the room. T'was all glitchy and stuff. I had to restart.
oh and the room where there's a drawing of Chell and a Companion Cube ? Don't venture here either. Got to start again. Couldn't get out (no portable surface at reach and the door didn't open).
