Description
Live Hard is an uninhabited island survival simulation game. The character finds himself in an uninhabited area without any connection to the outer space. You struggle for existence using all the means and resources you are able to make use of. Pelting tropical rains, droughts, endless winters, wild animals, exotic diseases and hunger. Get ready to the real hardcore survival!

Key features:
  • Island exploration: the game world is generated for each player individually.
  • A huge variation of sandbox: many ways to solve one and the same problems.
  • 5 parameters: health, temperature, hunger, thirst, tiredness.
  • Crafting of all the items needed: tools, weapon, clothes, tableware.
  • Food: at first you are like "Eww! Eating THIS?!", but later you crave for more.
  • Building: you need a place to sleep, to store your supplies and to hide from animals.
  • Farming: you're becoming a happy farmer. A lonely happy farmer.
  • Hunting, fishing and domestication of animals: find yourself a furry friend. Or just eat it!

Friends, let me report on reasons for staying out of touch for so long. Initial deadline has lapsed due to our programmer serious illness. He is fine ready for action now.

But recently we have realized that code refactoring is inevitable. What does that mean? On this stage we need to review all code and make possible optimizations that are necessary to avoid further possible bugs. This will take at least a week. After that, hopefully, we will be able to announce demo release date.

I think some of the concepts of this idea are interesting. But I am a little unclear about the end game. By end game I mean how do you win and beat the game. I would assume that stranded on an island your goal would be to get rescued, get off the island, or something along those lines. But nothing of that seems to be mentioned. Unless I am misunderstand something it seems the game might not have an end game, you just keep playing forever and ever. There is nothing wrong with a game designed were you just play forever and ever, I play The Sims series of games and that exactly what they are. But I do question that idea when the sole focus game is being alone standard somewhere. I think without some form of an end game that the game would just be demoralizing. Then again it is possible that this simply would not be mine kind of game, while other people would still enjoy it. Either way that was my two cents.
