Description
This is part of the Valentine's day special COOP map created by LpFreaky, Zivi7, Mevious, Sicklebrick and me. Link to the main course:

Aperture Valentine

These are the chambers considered as slightly tougher than the rest and that we decided to release separately in order to keep a difficulty level that makes the main map enjoyable for everyone!


There are 2 main chambers mostly drowned in water and designed to make both players think and plan their movements...

In the first chamber both players are completely separated in 2 different areas; once you get through it, you'll join forces to face the 2nd chamber altogether.

All puzzles are focussed in portal placement and reuse of portals ratber than skill-based puzzles. It is intended to be challenging although not too hard.

CHANGELOG

- v1.1: prevented using the wall_projector prop to solve the puzzle in chamber 2 (thanks zivi7). Added some more details, lighting changes, added areaportals to prevent watching the players' droppers falling hole through the skybox.

- v1.2: changed the layout for the final puzzle in 2nd chamber to force the intended solution ;D Added some more seconds to the column timer.

- v1.3: introduced some changes to prevent some unintended moves in 2nd chamber; hopefully now the intended solution is the only one possible :D

@Martinch: Thank you, thanks so much for those words... those are exactly my feelings when I play a map that I consider special in some way and that I really enjoy playing, so it's quite rewarding to hear that from someone else :D

This is honestly the best Portal map I've played in my life. The the puzzles, the amount of times I've wanted to rage quit, the emotions I got when we actually finished the map - it was trully magical. It used ideas I've never seen in other maps and it constructed beutifully. Thank you very much for the experience your team provided us, it was trully a pleasure :D

I know this is pretty late but I have found a bug exploit. When you start and Atlas walks out spawn there is a screen right in front of you that blocks a spot for a portal that can be placed. But you can still shoot a portal behind the screen it if you shoot at the brokenheart icon. The one on the right to be exact.

We can't get on the high up light bridge to get to the two buttons. jumping off the initial light bridge into a portal doesn't work because it won't get you high enough.

There IS a solution for chamber 2, ofc! I never had the time to record it (again, because it's coop), and there IS a key move (that I wanted to be shown by someone in a solution video because it's cool when you figure out! however, that never happened :()... and now I would like to recheck this map carefully, to fix unintended moves, and to record the solution video... but on top of that, I'd like to help you out... so in the meantime I find the time to revise this map, would you explain where and how are you stuck, please? :)

Hey Darth Khyll & Billy Pilgrim! Thanks for playing guys!!!! :D Hehe, I'm glad some finally found it difficult to solve!! It happens that many players did solve it but in an unintended way... and so far, no one made it intendedly. To be honest, due mainly to this is a coop map, I never found the time to check carefully with any other experienced player every unintended solution to fix it... and I'm sorry for that (I know I can play a coop map myself alone, but the truth is that 4 eyes see far better than just 2!).

I can verify that the second chamber seems to be impossible after every permutation was tried (3+hours)

The second chamber does not work, I tried referencing older videos and it's imposible.

I think this one is beyond the user-made room of Portal 2, it's a moving story itself instead. I'm truly touched from even imagining about the amount of your dedication. Terrific, I don't think it will be forgotten in my whole life.
