Aperture Valentine - The advanced chambers v1.3

This is part of the Valentine's day special COOP map created by LpFreaky, Zivi7, Mevious, Sicklebrick and me. Link to the main course:

Aperture Valentine

These are the chambers considered as slightly tougher than the rest and that we decided to release separately in order to keep a difficulty level that makes the main map enjoyable for everyone!

There are 2 main chambers mostly drowned in water and designed to make both players think and plan their movements...

In the first chamber both players are completely separated in 2 different areas; once you get through it, you'll join forces to face the 2nd chamber altogether.

All puzzles are focussed in portal placement and reuse of portals ratber than skill-based puzzles. It is intended to be challenging although not too hard.

- v1.1: prevented using the wall_projector prop to solve the puzzle in chamber 2 (thanks zivi7). Added some more details, lighting changes, added areaportals to prevent watching the players' droppers falling hole through the skybox.

- v1.2: changed the layout for the final puzzle in 2nd chamber to force the intended solution ;D Added some more seconds to the column timer.

- v1.3: introduced some changes to prevent some unintended moves in 2nd chamber; hopefully now the intended solution is the only one possible :D

This was awesome, great job! I really enjoy these minimalistic designs that force you to use your portals super efficiently. This was seriously one the best ones we have ever playd. My only complaint is that considering the difficulty of both chambers it wouldn't hurt if they were separeted into individual ones. We had a collective sigh of desperation when the first door wasn't the exit and it was already midnight :D

Also one comment: Since we didn't need to use the last lightbridge in the second chamber I guess we didn't solve it the intended way. I mention it here just in case the designer is interested to know.

This is dumb. The puzzle for the first chamber is easy enough to solve, but it's just unnecessarily difficult, especially the 19 sec timer. It's almost impossible to get the right spacing on the portal climb/move up while climbing/shoot your portal back to the cubby to aim the gravity directly under the cube drop/hit the cube drop button/step on the timer stop. 19 sec is just not realistic.

Very good map, difficulte and good idea for puzzle. Just it's normal if there isn't émensipator between the 2 part of the map? We use the love cube for the second part ^^"

Hi , that really was a good map, good job :p

BUT , you can take a box from the first part to the second one to make it a little bit easy :p

@wuschel: I'm so happy that this map is still attracting some players! :D Thanks for playing... I guess I forgot to post the solution for this map :p Due to the fact I'm currently finishing some pending stuff, I'll record the solution soon, and that could work as a guide to unstuck players... I must admit that no one has solved it the right way yet :( It's difficult to prevent shortcuts in a coop map compared to the SP ones, at least for me... In the meantime: the solution involves a sequence where each player must perform one step in an order; in the beginning you must use momentum and fling from floor portals until you are high enough to let your mate build the lightbridge under yourself; look around, there are many white floor panels and think on how to use the floor button and when...

We're stuck in room2 for 2 hours now and we have no idea how to begin there. We can get one player on the lightbridge between light-seperator and waterwall, but unfortunately only the "wrong" one. Any tips would be appreciated.
