Filled Barrels & Sacks

In 1 collection by Altbert
Hunting & Gathering
8 items
Most barrels and sacks contain just a few items, hardly enough to feed a child for a day. What to say about a bandit or Foresworn camp. Contents of barrels and sacks have been raised to a more acceptable amount of vegetables, fruit, ingredients, meat, fish and mead. Most of all, most sacks seemed to contain more items than they actually did.

All barrels and sacks have been renamed to reflect the contents: Vegetable Barrel, Ingredient Barrel, Meat Barrel, Fish Barrel, Honningbrew/Black-Briar/Nord Mead Barrel, Small/Large Vegetable Sack.

Cabbages have been removed from the smaller, flatlike sacks.

WARNING: New contents will only be available after respawning of the barrel or sack, which takes about 10 ingame days!

No DLC required.

All "Hunting Rebalanced" plugins and the "Filled Barrels and Sacks" plugin have been merged into my 50th plugin, called "FIFTY":

ok, thanks

sorry about frustrations caused I'm still fairly new to modding

That's not necessary as this mod only deals with barrels and sacks containing vegetables and sacks. Treasure chests are unchanged.

would you be willing to make seperate mods for those that want filled barrels/sacks but dont want treasure chests tampered with?

When barrels and sacks are set to respawn, they will respawn according to game settings, usually 10 ingame days.

When you say that new content will be available after respawning of the sack, is that only when you first run the plugin? Or do a barrel/sack's contents refresh every 10 ingame days?

Thank you, I REALLY appreciate it. The lack of leeks for certain recipes was driving me crazy.

OK, I will see what I can do. If it's not a lot of work I might put the chest changes in this mod too. And I will look into the missing leeks.

Also, there aren't any leeks in sacks or barrels. Kinda need those for the soup.

That sounds like a HUGE pain in the butt.
Maybe just a "more loot in chests" type thing would be better.
The only other "more loot in chests" mod I've found messes up the leveling table and winds up giving daedric armor and weapons out at like, level 20.
I think something that gives more items in chests and raises the gold amounts would probably work better than "lock level = loot level". Probably be a lot easier too. I wouldn't know, only thing I ever made a mod for was Petz5.

I don't know if this has already been done before! If not, it's not that easy to do, as the lock level is put on the chest once a chest is placed in the world(s). The amount of loot that you can find in a chest is leveled, so it depends on the level of the player. There are, roughly calculated, about 60 predefined respawning chests, but there are almost a 1,000 chests in the world(s), each with its own lock level or key requirement, and depending on one of these 60 default chests. Hell of a job, I would say!
