Dare will be a top down view survival horror game where you play as a female character wondering alone? in a huge creepy mansion in search of your friends. Your only possessions are a lighter and a cell phone with no signal, later on you will discover how invaluable those items will be.

Four friends agree to go to an abandoned mansion in the woods for the night as a dare. Only to discover that their evening will become the longest and most horrifying one of their lives as they are seperated, defenseless and terrified of not knowing who or what pursues them.

Will they find each other and get out alive? Only time will tell.

Game features

  • Many creepy rooms to explore.
  • Uncovering secrets about the mansion and its history.
  • Puzzles
  • Creepy sounds and music for a greater atmosphere.
  • Key items to help you progress through the game.
  • Stunning 2D graphics.

What if you were able to play as either of the 4 characters? This would be interesting!

I'll give that a try, I was thinking of adding a bonus mini game or something like that after completing the main game which you can play as one of the other characters with different events. But I'll certainly try that game.

You could incorporate or modernise some of the elements from classic survival horror Sweet Home. Especially ig you have multiple characters. You should definitely play that for inspiration, if you haven't already.

Hi paddybass, sorry for the late reply. As this is only in concept stage and there isn't much for people to see, I will be adding concept art and some gameplay so people will have an idea of what it is and see if it attracts more unique visitors but if the worst should happen then then I will possibly scrap the idea.

This is mainly for people to give ideas and/or feedback on the current project.

The premise sounds intriguing. I am also developing a 2D survival horror although it's premise and mechanics seem quite different. Have you any plans as to how go about gaining visibility on Greenlight for this project?
