Chopper Mike available on Desura!! And.. 10 free copies!!
Release date: April/June 2013
Chopper Mike is a charming, fast-paced, arcade helicopter time trial game featuring super smooth graphics and amazing controls.

Fly through 3 difficulty modes and 48 levels, picking up gems, avoiding collisions, and landing as quickly as you can! Skillful play will be rewarded with mysterious bonus aircraft!

Complete the levels, beat the target times, then replay to beat your best times!

Cross Platform
The game has been developed as a cross-platform game. The initial drive to create the game was to see if it were possible to make an arcade game that controlled as well as a traditional controller-based game, but through a touchscreen. Beyond that I've created a fun and challenging arcade helicopter game. It plays just as well on PC, Mac, or touchscreen based device. It's not a ported iOS game!!! :D In fact, if you are playing on PC or Mac then you'll have a massive screen, sound through proper speakers, and your choice of input device. You are getting the best version, for the price of a mobile game, (which, in real terms, is less than half a pint of beer here in the UK!).

More Info
Game website:

* Super-responsive controls.
* High quality graphical shaders, (check
* Minimal load times.
* Instant Restart, for when you're trying to beat your best times.
* 48 levels, split into three difficulty modes.
* 6 playable aircraft, each with their own handling characteristics.
* Beautiful soft shadows.
* Extremely funky music, (which can be turned off, boo!).
* A playable UFO!!

VAMflax is a one man development company set up by Jamie Lowes. Jamie has worked for Sony, Sega, and Codemasters, working on the handling code for Colin McRae Rally and Sega Rally (Revo). He also worked on the PSP version of Motorstorm. For more details, see

The game will be available on iOS and Android on the 22nd of March for £1.49, ($1.99). I'm not sure how Steam pricing works, but it'll be priced as low as it can be so that VAMflax sees the same sort of return per copy.. In other words, it won't cost much! :D

As a massive fan of Platforming games, the unique style of this one caught my eye. You can count on me giving this a whirl once it makes it through greenlight!

Yet another game that should have been uploaded to the concept section first. It really is there for a reason.
