General Information
Project Nefarious aims to provide additional tweaks, additions and features to ARK: Survival Evolved.
This includes a variety of changes to various existing Creatures.

Babies
One of Project Nefarious' first noticeable features is that Wild Babies can be found in the Wild.
Babies found in the wild are untamed, unclaimed versions of their Adult counterparts and will require taming just as a full-grown adult.
Upon taming a Baby, the baby will come to be trusting of Survivors and can then be imprinted upon for claiming and raising into Adulthood.

Young Tames can be imprinted upon throughout their stages of babyhood. Making them stronger tames than should a Survivor opt to tame a full-grown Creature.
However despite being tamed in the Wild as a Baby, the initial stats prior to imprinting are still what is carried over into the Creature's future offspring.

New Tameables/Breedables
Project Nefarious provides Genders to all creatures that were previously lacking the Gender Trait.
The only exclusion from this being of course the Mechanical's that Survivors can craft.

Many previously un-breedable creatures have also been given the ability to Breed as well.
(Settings may vary based on server/client settings)
Mechanicals
Survivors can craft a variety of Mechanical Items to assist in everyday functions.
Mechanical Companions can prove to be very useful for hermits and smaller tribes, many larger tribes will also utilize Mechanical Companions to their advantage due to their variety of abilities and bonuses.

Charging Station
A Charging Station must first be crafted as a way to begin the process of obtaining Mechanical Companions.

Charging Stations are required to restore the Stamina or "Energy" of your Mechanical Companions. Without an available Charging Station your Companion can quickly become vulnerable due to the inability to perform tasks such as Running or their Special Attacks.

A powered Charging Station with Gasoline or Oil will Re-Charge allied Mechanical which happens to enter the area.
The duration needed to Re-Charge a Mechanical will vary entirely on how much of a Charge the Mech can hold as well as how much of the Energy was initially drained from the Mech.

Mechanical Parasaur
The Mechanical Parasaur is one of the very first Mechanicals available to craft within the Charging Station.
The Parasaur Mech provides users with a mobile Forge and the ability to gather and carry Raw Metals and other Stones within it's inventory.

Many survivors have been known to construct the Parasaur Mech and venture on Raw Resource runs, utilizing the ability to collect Metals and smelt the resource into a more refined state.

The Parasaur Mech is also equipped with a Flamethrower ability.
A decently ranged attack power that allows the Parasaur Mech the ability to light the target on fire for a short period of time.

Abilities
  • Mobile Forge
  • Farms Metal & Flint
  • Flamethrower Special Attack (Special AI attack)
  • Can be set to Turret-Mode

Mechanical Stegosaurus
The Mechanical Stegosaurus is a highly sought after Mechanical Companion due to it's ability to carry vastly large amounts of Resources at half of their weight.
The heavy armor of the Stegosaurus Mech also makes it a great Caravan option for long-distance trading, lengthy resource runs and other heavy-duty hauling activities.

The Stego Mech also comes equipped with a total of 3 seats, a Driver, a Middle-Seat and a Rear-Facing Back-Seat. This allows the Stego Mech to be well defended from all Inhabitants found on the ARK.

Abilities
  • Reduces Weight on all Resources
  • Auto-Pulls items from follow-target
  • Provides Caravan Defensive buff to all nearby allies (Affects Players too)
    • Increases Movement Speed
    • Reduces Incoming Damage
    • Increases Outgoing Damage

Mechanical Rex
The Mechanical Rex is a well known Mechanical Companion due to the popularity of the ARK's Rex inhabitants as well as the Mech's unique Refrigeration ability.
The Rex Mech is capable of extending the spoil-time on nearly any consumable found on the ARK, as well as holding basic Resources. This makes the Rex Mech a very valuable resource to use when hunting the many wild inhabitants.

The Rex Mech also comes with a secondary passenger seat, enabling the Mech to carry two Allies on it's hunting trips for multipurpose tasks or additional support in defense.

Abilities
  • Extends spoil timers of consumables similar to a Fridge

Mechanical Quetzal
The Mechanical Quetzal is one of the last Mechanicals available to craft within the Charging Station.
The Quetzal Mech provides users with a mobile Forge and the ability to gather and carry Raw Metals and other Stones within it's inventory.

Many survivors have been known to construct the Quetzal Mech and venture on Raw Resource runs, utilizing the ability to collect Metals and smelt the resource into a more refined state.

While the Quetzal Mech provides no additional available forms of defense it is the only airborne Mechanical Companion known to date. This enables the Mechanical Quetzal to keep at a safe-distance from known Wild-Life found on the ARK, however it is not very keen to defending itself if caught in air-to-air combat making it a relatively vulnerable target of enemy Tribes.

Abilities
  • Mobile Forge
  • Farms Metal & Flint

It is currently in use already on the Iron Nexus cluster. Anyone is free to join us there in live-testing/play and help progress through development. :P
