2X Slower Leveling

Description
OVERVIEW

This mod feature minimal changes to only 18 numbers, making all skills gain experience 2 times slower. Nothing else is touched.

Other popular Slower Leveling mods either use an incorrect multiplier for Smithing causing your smithing skill to increase faster - not slower, or are simply too complicated for my taste with alot of features etc. Here you have a simple mod that does EXACTLY what it says.

Advice: Using a 3-5X Slower Leveling mod is not recommended, it might seem like a good idea at first before you reach level 20+. After that it becomes a pain. 2X Slower Leveling is perfect, it lets you enjoy the game longer and there will finally be a reason to do quests rather than avoiding them.

COMPATIBILITY

This mod will be compatible with all mods except those that also changes the experience gain from skills. This mod does not conflict with mods that alters perks, adds new spells or alters the effects of skills. (For example; 100% Compatible with Balanced Magic, Better Magic, Duel or Deadly Combat - all of which changes the very foundation of skills).

This seems the least likely to conflict with my build, so I'm gonna try it first. I've restarted the game like five times now, and am about to do so again, because the enemies get difficult and annoying way too fast for my tastes.

With a Khajit using claws and wearing no armor, plus a mod for low animal aggression, I've been able to drastically restrict or even eliminate exp gain, letting me enjoy wandering and harvesting reagents and only rarely dealing with encounters. But the minute I start making potions, opening locked chests, selling loot or buying ingredients, the enemies get harder, and that's just ugh.

Would like to choose which skills level slowly and how drastically each skill affects my overall level.

would you mind giving the name of any of the variables you changed, as seen in the creation kit filter? I'm a novice modder and am curious to poke around. thanks so much.

Finally! I wish I would have found this mod earlier. I dabbled into alchemy and smithing and was a ridiculous Level 25 before even getting to the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller... Which would be fine and good if many of my enemies werent now completely OP for my now mostly non-combat character... I wonder what Bethesda was thinking when they worked on the levelling and balance.

Not really, it's easy to level up.

why would anyone download this? leveling everything up is already a HUGE pain in the ass.

So basically it takes longer for players to level up their skills and it's more challenging?!

As someone else said:I wish it were 10 Skills to level up. I added this mod after getting to level 20 far too fast, and I still hit 30 really quickly. Its mostly due to 5 skill increases leading to a level up.

Been using this mod for a while now and I love it.. but leveling still feels too fast for me..

do you have a 3x slower mod?
I don't really care if it becomes a pain later in the game.. more fun for me imo

I'm also looking for a mod that stops Dwarven and Orcish weapons and armor and all the stronger gear dropping at lower levels..
It's so annoying that within a couple hours of gameplay bandits are running around with damn orcish greatswords and steel plate armor and I'm only like lvl 15..

that shouldn't be happening until I'm around lvl 40 or something imo.. and Dwarven gear should only be found in Dwemer ruins as far as I am concerned.

OMG, thank you Theres *so* many "level ultra fast" mods out there, but Skyrim levels so stupidly fast anyway I never understood why.

Is this mod compatible with the lvl 252 uncapper?
