The Baltimore & Ohio railroad was one of the first railroads in the U.S. It was responsible for many innovations in the railway industry, and played a key role in the American Civil War. The B&O had many named passenger trains by the height of the railway industry at the end of WWII, many of which used parlor cars such as these. The Chesapeake & Ohio Railway took financial control of the B&O in 1963, and merged with it and the Western Maryland Railway in 1973, becoming known as Chessie System. Today, the Chessie System has since been merged into CSX Transportation.

Steel parlor cars like these would have been used on the B&O's flagship passenger trains up until streamliners began appearing in the 1930s and 1940s. Steel heavyweight cars also replaced earlier wooden heavyweight cars that were more easily damaged, less durable and prone to wood rot.

Do you think you could make a Baltimore and Ohio GP9 (simlified blue with yellow lettering version), and a B&O PA reskin (Original Version)?

A Brunswick Green GG1 would be a fanstastic addition if you have the time.

I have a suggestion. How about a South Shore Line set of Metroliners?

"YouBlewIt", I've added this mod to my "AMERICAN Transport Fever mod Collection" and broadcast this to my friends. Thanks for another excellent re-skin.

@maculator
I didn't even think of that! As a big fan of the movie, I will hope to make some Polar Express stock before Christmas. Unfortunately, there are no 2-8-4 Berkshire steam locos in game, otherwise I'd be all over that!

@Cluck Norris (Assembly Guy)
Added to my ever-growing to-do list, SD40 reskins in general are on the way :steamhappy:

@nickbrad82
Glad to see you guys appreciate the little details :steamhappy:

@NicolasAnimation
I believe another modder is working on that. I will be working on that one in the coming months unless someone beats me to it.

I have suggested donoteat to do it, but apparently he's not interested. Would you be interested in repainting the Metroliner to PRR colors?
