Description
Introduction

This mod adds three additional radial menus for Survivors' voices!
They can be linked to any key you want (C, V and B keys are recommended).

ATTENTION!!!!
Follow the bind instructions below to choose your keys, otherwise you won't be able to access to the menus.
***UPDATE*** A video-tutorial for installation is available, check it out!

Localization

This mod is localized in:
  • English (abbreviation: EN)
  • Italian (abbreviation: IT)
  • Spanish (abbreviation: ES)

- Only the menu phrases are translated, not the sounds...
- Take note of the abbreviations, you'll need them in the binding process
- If you want additional localizations please translate the following phrases and post a link to the text (pastebin.com is recommended) in the comments, specifying the used language.

Menus

Menu 1
  • "Stay together"
  • "Rescue"
  • "Friendly fire"
  • "Help"
  • "Oh no!"
  • "Behind us"
  • "You're welcome"
  • "Run!"
  • "Curse"

Menu 2
  • "Horde"
  • "Hunter"
  • "Look out"
  • "Smoker"
  • "Charger"
  • "Tank"
  • "Witch"
  • "Boomer"
  • "Spitter" (this doesn't work, no idea why)

Menu 3

  • "Get it off!"
  • "Jockeyed"
  • "Choked"
  • "I'm falling!"
  • "Taaaaaank"
  • "Death scream"
  • "Vomit"
  • "Adrenaline"

Installation instructions

First of all subscribe to this mod and make sure it is activated in the game add-on section.
Then use one (just one) of the following methods:

  • METHOD 1 (Easy one)
Set this launch option to the game (Steam - Library - Left 4 Dead 2 - Properties - Launch Options):
    +exec oneiros_voc_xx.cfg
    ATTENTION:
    • You have to replace "xx" with your lowercase country abbreviation (look at the languages list above)
    • This method will use C, V and B as keys

  • METHOD 2 (Recommended one)
Open this folder "/Steam/steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/left4dead2/cfg" and create a text file named "autoexec.cfg" containing these three lines:
    bind c "+mouse_menu MiscXX"
    bind v "+mouse_menu ZombiesXX"
    bind b "+mouse_menu FunnyXX"
    ATTENTION:
    • You have to replace "XX" with your uppercase country abbreviation (look at the languages list above)
    • The file extension must be "cfg" and not "txt"… make sure that the real extension is not hidden
    • You are not forced to use C, V and B as binding keys. Change the letters after the bind command if you want different keys

  • METHOD 3 (Pro one)
Learn how to open the developer console (google is your friend :)) and execute these three commands:
    bind c "+mouse_menu MiscXX"
    bind v "+mouse_menu ZombiesXX"
    bind b "+mouse_menu FunnyXX"
    ATTENTION:
    • You have to replace "XX" with your uppercase country abbreviation (look at the languages list above)
    • You are not forced to use C, V and B as binding keys. Change the letters after the bind command if you want different keys

EDIT: My problem was that renaming the autoexec file in Method 2 wasn't actually changing the file. Search for Folder Options in your PC and uncheck the box that says "Hide Known File Extensions" and make sure the file really is converted to a .cfg instead of .txt.

I followed the video and text instructions to the letter for method 1 and 2 and it's still not working. Also conflicting with Spas Unfolded Stock for someodd reason.

No sorry, I only used the simple one with two menus. Good work though :)

@The_Baker I did the best i could to make it as simple as possible. I doubt that other extensions can do the same without editing that configuration file. Can you link me the extensions you are talking about?

Unsubscribed, far to difficult, when others you just add to addons and they work instantly. Nice try though!

Rememeber, not everyone knows a lot about computers. I could write a readme on how to replace a Derailleur cable, set up, lock and movement screws and make sure all gears work on a bicycle. It's a piece of piss, but for someone who knows nothing about bikes, they wouldn't have a clue!

Or I could write a read me on how to change front and rear discs, wind back calpier piston change pads and bleed the brakes on your car, that's also a piece of piss. But for someone with little or no knowledge about car mechanics, again the may well struggle.

Just somethink to think about!

@COMMANDO Read the Left 4 Dead 2 Wiki page "left4dead.wikia.com/wiki/Console_commands
" and look for "Vocalize" with Ctrl(Control)+F
