Description
Sick of that pathetic excuse of a summon you call a familiar?

Introducing the Godly Familiars mod. Cast that spell and unleash the dogs of war!

Summon your ethereal companions and watch them kill everything in your path! Take a quiet stroll through falmer infested caves whilst under the heavy protection of your guard-dogs. Attack an NPC in any city. take a seat and watch it become a ghost town.

Overview:

A very simple mod, it make familiars amazingly overpowered.

-It sets their level to 200, giving them around 1000 health.

-It also makes their attacks deal massive damage, 100 times what their original damage was. This is more than enough to one-shot many enemies, including mammoths.

Notes:

My first Skyrim mod. Feedback would be appreciated!

This mod is definately not intended to be balanced. This was brought about because I love how the familiars look and was very dissapointed when I realised how pathetically weak they are.

This mod will likely not affect all familiars in the game, just player summoned ones.

The magicka cost to summon and thier lifespan remian the same.

This mod will conflict with others that alter the familiar spell tome. Load this mod last to prevent this.

There should be no bugs, but if you do find any bugs or have any suggestions please leave a comment!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a very early version of this mod, intend to refine and develop it. This is more of an experiment to gain expirience in creating and maintaining my own mod. Please take that into account.

Possible Future Updates:

-A revamp of the flaming familiar.

-A more balanced version (if requested)

-Changes to summoning times and costs (if requested)

i have an idea for a mod. a gravity trap spell. :D if you can make that... that would be awesome. i want it to do so that the enemy either flies sky high or just dissapears. that would be preaty neat. what do you think TheGreyLight?

Hey thanks man! Yeah I am really super excited about this upcoming mod. Its going really well, I think this will be the best mod I have ever done!

It's okay, I downloaded it primarily in case I got into a mess I couldn't fight or flee my way out of on my own (and for chuckling maniacally at being able to summon something that would be able to one-shot mammoths at level 1). Plus, it just plain looked cool. It's a bummer, but I wasn't planning on relying on it or anything. Thanks for trying. :) Your new mod sounds fantastic! I can't wait for it to come out! Until then, I'll keep using Spectral Summons. It works beautifully and it's made being a conjurer more fun than I thought possible. Thanks for creating awesome mods! You're amazing!

Sounds interesting, can't wait to see it.

I really have no idea what to do then! That is extremely odd! Ill tell you what though, right now I am in the middle of creatign a huge mod which will be in a similar style to spectral summons, however it will be much bigger. Also you have the task of going around stealing the souls of animals and creatures to take back to a unquie crafting station and creating the spell tomes out of the captured soul, so then you can summon whatever you have killed. If you wait for this mod to be released you might not even need SS or this GF anymore! It should be finished in about a week.

Neither suggestion had any effect, unhappily. :( One swing of the giant's club is still enough to KO my poor familiar.

Hmm, thats quite strange. I would perhaps unload this mod and then save, and then reload it (adding this after SS). If that doesn't work then try the same thing again but with both mods.

It doesn't seem to be working for me...I used the Summon Familiar spell and attacked a giant, the giant made ectoplasm out of it. I haven't used any other mods that touch the Conjuration tree, or any mods that have anything to do with Conjuration aside from the Spectral Summons mod. Are the two incompatible? Should I have loaded Godly Familiars before Spectral Summons instead of after?

So the Spectral Summons lets you summon 50 things? But does it change the time restriction? I hate re-summoning. And yes the Reiklings. They kept insta killing my Familiars after I got the mod. But a few crashes later (was toying with console commands again) it fixed itself and worked. Now if only I could summon a permanent squad of them eh? Have me an escort of God dogs~ Oh also: I died while wearing the God Armor... Dunno what was up with that but ya... A legendary dragon just full on owned my shet. Insta killed me. Was rather sad about it too :(

Oh right! Sorry! I misread your post. I thought that you said the familar WAS the imp with the spear. I assume you are talking about reiklings? (probbably mispelt).

I have a few mods that do similar things to that:

Summon More - Summon Well and Jordy's Ten Summons both increase the amount of summons you can have at once (to 10).

Spectral Summons lets you get 50 or so and also adds a lot of new summonign spells, in the style of the familiar. If you are a fan of familiars you would definately like that.

Both can be found on my workshop page.
