Description
Do you ever get tired of running out of merchants to sell your items to? Have you ever wanted to open up a shop or merchant stand within the wide world of Skyrim? Are you dissatisfied with the in-game spouse shops?

Well then, you've come to the right place!

Buy and run your own stand. Sell your own items and set up a wondrous display. Become the shop owner and merchant you've always wanted to be.

(Sorry about the caps, but people keep asking things covered in the FAQs =/.)

This is still a WIP mod ^_^
(Starting 1/7/2013 my grad school picks up again, so updates will be much slower.)

Features:
- I've added purchasable player shops/merchant stands. These are available in Whiterun, Solitude, Windhelm and Riften. To buy them you must own property in the town and pay some gold. Just talk to the new npcs in the Jarl's building. (2 seen above)

- Sell your own items! There's no need to pretend to sell items. Just stuff them in your stand's inventory and wait. (Make sure either you or your Housecarl are attending the stand during business hours!!)
Note: You are "attending your stand" when you are sitting in one of the stand's chairs. Your Housecarl will stay in one of the chairs if you tell him/her to in the dialogue options.

- Your Housecarls and spouse can attend the stands for you. If you get tired of playing merchant and wish to go out adventuring, just tell them to handle your chores and go off. You may also hire a shopkeeper, but they will demand part of your profit!

- Minor skill to level by selling items with your stand. The more you sell, the better the skill and the more benefits you get.

- Each stand is customizable. Just go to the business ledger and "Specialize your stand." (Requires Merchant skill of 10+)

- Set up the stand to trade for items. Need that rare ingredient, gemstone or ingot? Have your stand handle it. (Requires Merchant skill 25+)

Stand Locations:
Whiterun: Right next to Breezehome. You can’t miss it :P
Windhelm: Face the door to Hjerim...turn left...there you go XD
Solitude: Between Proudspire Manor and the Bard’s college. (Note: The Bards get in the way if you finished the Bard's College Questline.)
Riften: Where Brynjolf’s stand used to be. Brynjolf may be disabled/enabled at the ledger :P.

Note: This is my first mod, so be lenient. Please report any bugs.
To be safe, make a clean save before testing this mod ^_~

Conflicts:
(There have been reports of conflicts with mods, while at the same time reports of no such conflict existing. Those which have been confirmed as causing issues will be posted here.)

- Do not have more than one spouse run the same stand. Also, if a Spouse is running a stand, don't let other Spouses live in that city's player home.
- I have 120+ mods running, and this one works fine as the last one loaded.
- The "Auto Harvest" mod may run into loops when you try to surpass a stand's inventory limit.
- This mod conflicts with Open Cities.
- This mod conflicts with My Home is Your Home, if you are using AFT at the same time.
- Towns and Villages Enhanced places trees and landscaping in your market area. See FAQs on suggestions to remove them ^^.
- Whiterun Expanded- Large Town Outside- Visual Homes Only - Part 2 (That's a mouthful O_o). This mod heavily conflicts and will cause CTDs if used with this mod. Part 1 works fine ^_^.
- Improved Hjerim gets in the way of the Windhelm stall (But does not cause CTDs)
- Is unfriendly with Breezehome Basement.

I'd like to give a special thanks to Xiianil for all the help in testing this mod! You're awesome :D.

Additional features:
Trading:
(Set up trades at your ledger. Every time items are sold at your stand, there is a chance to trade for new items. They will appear in your safe.)
- Whiterun stand can trade for rare ingots and alchemy ingredients.
- Solitude stand can trade for rare gems and clothing.
- Riften stand can trade for fish, insects and...ehm..."shady" goods.
- Windhelm stand can trade for soul gems and pelts (hey, it's freezing there!).

Bugs:
- Any item the inventory rejects due to insufficient merchant skill will lose all enchantments and upgrades. Working on a way to fix this. (Any experienced scripters want to help? ^^)
- Don't sell Daedra Artifacts. I stuffed a bunch of them in the inventory at Windhelm in a test session and it broke the chest. They act strangely with the script for some reason O_o.
- Items sell for their base price. The creation kit doesn't have a reliable way of getting the price for items with enchantments or enhancements.

Last Updates:
3/1/2013:
This update does the following:
- Makes selling work with fast traveling and wait times, (as long as they don't meet or exceed 24 hours)
- Makes the mod compatible with appearance changes on spouses. This does not work for the housecarls, because of how they are formatted.
- may allow non vanilla and custom spouses to attend the stand. (untested possible byproduct)
- adds merchants to hire to attend the stand (can be found in the town inns).
- bug fixes and fixes some dirty edits.
- some modifications to scripts - mostly to make it read better.
- adjustments to the windhelm stand to make it easier for the NPCs to attend the stand.
- Modified the conditions for whether you own a house. The mod now uses the same mechanism that Spouses use to allow the 'moving house' dialogue. That is, except for Hjerim, which is still based on the acquisition of the key.

Some important notes about the update:

Spouses will be made to move when attending a stand. If they are unable to move to the player-house in the city of your stand, they will not attend the stand! (The marriage sandbox and stall attending AIs are merged.) If you are using Hearthfire, make sure that they are able to move to that home before telling them to get to work! :o

Current To Do List:
(Note: I am a student in a master's program at a university, while at the same time working for a teaching credential...in short... I will not likely have ample time to work on this mod D:. But, I will try to find time.)

- Provide support for npcs to come and interact with the current shop keeper.

- Fix bugs XD.

- create a buyable and customizable Inn, Player House-Shop, warehouse and perhaps an empire to build.
The player Inn will likely be made into a different mod.

- buy out the competition (muahaha!)

- There needs to be more things to buy in Skyrim!! Currently have another mod in process for this ^_~. Trying to come up with neat things to add.

- Have items from the inventory appear on the stand. (Would appreciate help from others on this one)

- Caravans :O Though I'm not sure how to do it, yet O_o.

- Hiring a courier to distribute fliers for your stands.

how many thigs can you do for your stand like armory and apothecary.

yeah just a download error. i just had to enable it in data files. but i love the mod! AND!!! I like a couple of things on the to do list. like the town/city with the warehouse and the courier to distribute fliers. and maybe being able to ship item across skyrim? from a table in the warehouse?

@Piles0216: I don't know if it conflicts with TNF, 'cause I don't know what TNF and haven't used it :P. You tell me if it causes any problems when you try XD But if it only improves the interior of the homes, it shouldn't cause any problems (unless it messes with any part of the housecarls, then it may affect their ability to run the stands.)

You make displays at lvl 25 in merchant skill. There are some decorative preset you can select from the itinerary on your stand at that point ^^. Otherwise, you'll have to decorate it yourself :P

A Few Questions... I Want the in and stuff and i like the courier idea and the empire and i think the warehouse is cool and i think it should be like a town that is ownable and if you put the inn in a different mod can it require hearthfire for the customization and stuff. And maybe like, a markarth stand and the town that is on the to do list should be located like outside of whiterun. NOW FOR THE QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How Do You Make Displays? =^_^=

I once had this mod on my old computer before its hard-drive failure and I could only save a few things. This was when it was only the Whiterun one and for me to see the mod grow is brilliant. Yet to test it but on my first look, I want to congratulate Adura on his progress.

@BagelBalls: Yes, I know. It's mentioned in the 'Conflicts' section in the description. That mod adds trees everywhere, and just so happens to place some where the stand is. As the description says, please consult the FAQ for potential work-arounds.

@Sneaux: The script is attached to the chests in the towns. So you would need to go to the town in the Creation Kit, find and click on the chests, right click on the scripts and select Properties.

@Holytiger: That functionality is not included. Working as intended :P Have a housecarl or hired merchant (from the inn) attend the stand to keep selling items while you're away.

@Magic: Working as intended. I didn't have the time or expertise to spawn goods from the chest onto the stall (the method used by the NPC shops would NOT work for a custom stand).
NPC visitors are not included.

If you want to keep selling items while you explore, have a housecarl or hired merchant attend the stand while you are gone ^^. If you experience bugs with the housecarls, please consult the FAQ.
