About the Game
Dimension Nexus Adventures (DNA) is a multiverse sandbox that will be available on multiple platforms, as well as a board game. We are looking to break a few game design stereotypes such as: "Throw all the pieces of every game you own on the floor and rearrange them into a new game." We are doing this by bringing you countless innovative features, along with a plethora of your old favorites. In this extraordinary video game, you will be able to create anything from abysmal mine shafts to immense buildings. You can even design your own three-dimensional structures, using our comprehensive in-game editor. It is even possible to research and develop new forms of magic, technology, spells, and items. It also features flight mechanics, an AI driven quest engine that provides endless quests, and a full solar system, galaxy, and beyond for you to eventually explore. All of which will be procedurally generated in our state of the art AI engine.

The game has a fun twist; remember the comic books with villains wanting to rule the universe? You are in one of those stories, except DNA features immense dimensions of which universes reside! Every player server is its own unique dimension. When the players of a dimension awaken one of the mighty villains, he will end up transporting your players to different dimensions until his eventual demise. As a result, the players are returned to their respective dimensions, weakening the barrier between the effected dimensions. When a portal to another dimension is opened, the players of each civilization are faced with a choice: one of diplomacy and trade agreements, or one of war and plundering. Items (including pernicious weapons, enduring armor, and marvelous technology) can be transferred between dimensions and modified to preform various tasks.

If the multiplayer option does not appeal to you, there are a plethora of options for you to choose from! You can make a private server and invite all of your friends, or face the many dimensions alone in our solo campaign. DNA features a fully customizable single player experience where players can bring in their own 3D models to the high resolution world of DNA. Alternatively, players can use the single player mode to test out new ideas for modified gameplay, which includes items such as races, weapons, and buildings. We will be linking with Steam Workshop or our own system, where players have the option to submit their custom races to go through an approval process, and ultimately become available for the rest of the players to use.

  • Research and Development: You can make mods in game which live patch into your server. This system features modeling in game as well as feature design letting you make anything within the system from Magic to Technology to Music and even art. This system also lets you make custom races.
  • Multiple Genra: We are going to start with Fantasy, and every 6 months release a new genra, from Steampunk to Modern to Sci-fi.
  • Single-player, Mutli-player, and Multiverse over any platform
  • Procedurally generated planets: Your game world is an entire solar system, procedurally generated. You could have a lush jungle planet with a blue sun and a moon. Or even a binary star system where you live on a desert planet with multiple moons.
  • Multiverse Bosses: Our bosses want to rule the Multiverse. And you will have to chase them across multiple dimensions (player servers) or potentially help them.
  • Your game, Your way: Be a Hero, Merchant, Mercenary, Politician, Warlord, Villian, the choice is yours.
  • Fully featured terrain deformation: Using our 3DSplatz system we offer a fully 3D world in which you can mine, dig trenches, build new buildings, or anything else you want. Objects like Marble that you mine out become real world physics objects that you can move, then use the RnD system to sculpt.
  • Living Ecosystems: Player and npc races can die out, overforrestation can end a species of tree. But on the other side, a species can become abundant enough that the kobalds you've been dealing with could grow, and even become a player species.
  • World Events: Using our cloud database, we procedurally create events so no two events will be 100% alike.
  • Real Health system: Instead of hitpoints you have a simulation of the circulatory and organs of your character. You can get sick, poisoned, loose limbs. The big question is, if your chasing a boss and in another dimension, your species may not exist there. So how will you get medically treated?
  • Downtime Actions: We don't want to make the mistake of making the game a second job, even if your owning a farm. So you can use your mobile device not only to potentially play the game. But get alerts of your buisnesses and send your workers, or character to do jobs. While your offline you can also set your character to train, or train others. This even helps with running empires.
  • Art and Music: Using the RnD system you can create not just works of art, but music on instruments only found in our game, as well as from real life.
  • DLC Plans: The game is currently planned out for a 3 year dev cycle. Afterwards we not only will continue supporting and bringing you the best game possible. But also will be reaching out for other ideas for dimensions. This may include dimensions based on novels, movies, anything an author wants to bring in and/or we can pay for the licencing of.
  • Military Accounts: When you make your account, by confirming a military ID with the account system you will be allowed to convert your multiverse server into a LAN multiverse server to be able to play on offshore on your downtime.

If you wish to donate and there is no crowdfunding link in the links area, or you wish to donate directly. We set up an area in discussions with our paypal information so you can donate at any time. Remember that every donation you make adds to your reward level, and you may choose multiple smaller levels to fill out your donation. In other words if you donated 75, you can get the collectors edition, and a regular copy for a friend. Donations are locked in the day of release.

Hey awesome concept! I can't help wondering what kind of engine, or backend you guys are using to accomplilsh all of this. What drew me in was the picture of the "portal" thing between worlds as I have accomplished this effect realtime as well, splicing together two areas visually, that is.

A New Genre(I'm guessing theme?) every 6 months sounds a wee bit ambitious. but, most of this seem to be, If the 2 KS plegdes I have failes as they look to do, I might have some funds for this in a week or so.
