Better Baktun

This changes the The Long Count so that it begins on Calendar instead of Theology, and no longer bans you from picking the same Great Person again until the 8th b'ak'tun. Now you can immediately pick the same Great Person choice again if you want.

This will result in 2 to 3 more Great Persons total during a normal-duration game. They will also come sooner and with greater control, so be aware that this obviously affects game balance, which I wasn't concerned with. This mod was built to make sense, not for balancing reasons.

Please remember that no matter how early you research Calendar, the Maya calendar doesn't begin counting until 3114 BC. This and game balance are probably why Firaxis chose Theology for its starting point instead of the obvious Calendar that I've set it to use.
As long as Calendar is researched before 2720 BC, you'll now get the maximum number of free Great Persons. This gives more research freedom when playing as the Mayans now. You're no longer forced to move straight toward a specific technology.

BNW didn't change anything related to this, so it should need no update.

quick question, does this need updated for BNW? If so when is the ETA for that? Seems like a great chage to a problem I had with the Maya

This is great. Theology instead of calendar always bugged me, and it's the worst when you miss theology by one turn. I was looking for something that didn't force me to pick great people i dont want, like admirals and merchants, which made the time to get things i did want like scientists and engineers to take longer, but this is also good!
