Skyrim Fireworks

This mod adds a Pyrotechnics workbench to the Bannermare and a book that teaches you how to use it. You can craft fireworks and launch them into the air to make fireworks shows. Or you can drop them on the ground and blow them up by hitting them.

Update: I have added a fifth color, Yellow. The recipes now have larger quantities. You can make shells in bundles of 25 now. The recipes will not show up on the crafting menu unless you have the main material required. And the larger bundles won't appear unless you have enough materials. I've changed the recipe to use cheaper/more common items. Read the book to find out what they are. I made a way to craft your own charcoal by burning firewood at a smelter. You can make paper rolls out of ruined books at the pyrotechnics table. The empty shells are still crafted at a cooking pot and use Chaurus Eggs as the material and can be cooked in batches of 25. Again, the larger batch size only appears if you have enough to make it.

I reworked the Main launcher script. the Abort cooldown has been shortened by a bit of scripting wizardry without changing the launch timer. The Load/Unload menus are redesigned to be easier to use. The Launch button will now change to an Abort button if you activate a launcher while it is launching. I disabled player controls while in the menu to prevent unwanted movement while click on stuff.

Load All/Unload All now takes 20 of each colored shell until the launcher is Full/Empty
Load/Unload lets you choose what colors are added, you now add/remove them five at a time to make loading quicker.

I will consider updating this mod with more new types of fireworks if this becomes popular enough.


Compatible with all mods and DLC. Skyrim Fireworks does not modify anything vanilla. it adds a new book and workbench to the Banneredmare. Everything is new, nothing is modified.

If you were subscribed and have already placed launchers in the world before yellow firework update, please disassemble your launchers and rebuild them with the Build Launcher Power to update them with the new firework array. They can not load the new color unless they are refreshed with the updated script. Your existing shells should unload just fine and all future built launchers will use the updated script. This is a minor issue that only applies when the script's arrays are updated to include more types/colors.

If your fireworks are disappearing at far distances, try turning up your object detail setting in skyrimprefs.ini
I set mine to 25
fLODFadeOutMultObjects=25. That makes them visible all the way until the cell is unloaded. which is a good distance. If you have increased the number of cells loaded, you can probably see them from further away, but may need to also increase the object distance more.

Launching is aborted when the cell the launcher is in becomes unloaded. You will have to restart the launcher when you return to the cell.

Nevermind, just figured out that you have to use a Cooking Spit to make a shells. Probably could have mentioned that literally anywhere, but whatever.

this mod is awsome. if you get the wet and cold holidays it makes this mod just the more bad ass.

I think this is a cool mod but way can"t you see the fireworks above you when there firing off.

they kept blowing up right on the launchers. did not work. but I did get to scare the shit out of some whiterun gaurds

You can put it far away and light it and run back to see them from a distance.
