Description
Space Engies - Minecraft meets Starcraft

Overview:
In Space Engies you build up your own open sandbox world, with blocks out of different materials in outer space, combined with realtime-strategy. If you want to build an asteroid base, space station or nebulas, there are no limits for your creativity. But instead of walking around with a character with an inventory, you take command over ships which can again be built -block by block- in the factory.

Details:
Space Engies is an Open World Sandbox Game, in which you build with blocks. For that purpose you can use many different materials (stone types, metal, glas, etc.) from outer space. Those can be harvested and transported by ships.
Next to the blocks, there are so-called modules too. They provide the functionality of a building in strategy mode, but you can still design your factory buildings according to your imaginations and fit it into your world or space stations.

In the factory for example, you can -again block by block- create your own ship construction plans and then produce these ships in huge amounts, or trade them with other players. The abilities of ships fully depend on your choice of blocks and modules. You attach weapons, engines, cockpits, detector items, storage space and other modules to your ships, to build the best ships for each situation of the game.

In the research lab you develop new modules for your ships or base construction, or research upgrades for new buildings, with which you can again build bigger and better ships.

In the foundry, you can melt ressources to get material blocks, or process them to items like powerblocks, buoys, signs, or other useful or decorative stuff.

You explore the world and settle in it, find asteroid fields, suns, space stations or even extra terrestrials, harvest ressources, build your own space stations, accept PvE challenges, in which you can win new modules or construction plans, or fight against each other in the PvP arena. Just what you want to do.

Also, modding is featured: The game supports own texture packs, such as -with a little scripting required- own sector types, like stations or asteroid fields, which you can integrate to the game via .dll library.

The game is in an early development phase. The second public Alpha will be released this year already and bring a load of new functions compared to the first Alpha.

Many more information, tutorials and discussions can be found on the website.

I was indeed planning to create a few videos of the game in the coming weeks. I am very unexperienced with that though. At least we made great progress on the game the last weeks so it looks likely there will be Alpha 2 plus a few videos still this half of the year.

Interesting, could you provide a video (even if it is still a very early prototype) so as to provide some more indepth information about the game?
