Forgotten Tale is a Strategy game based on the well known Tower Defence principle. It is still in active developement.

You act as an angel that has been sent to earth to defend groups of humans from opponents during war, wild animals and other enemies to keep a natural balance of life and thus prevent mankind from self destruction.
To achieve that, he places towers around villages and cities that kill waves of enemies in a strategically handy way. He has to do this in every age of human history and all around the globe (later also in outer space), because mankind always manages to get itself into danger. Thus, the setting of the game will be very diversified. Combined with nice graphics, Forgotten Tale will provide a beautiful gaming experience.

Built upon the Tower Engine, which has been developed especially for this game, Forgotten Tale is written in C++ using SDL and OpenGL, so it can be run on Linux, Mac OS and Windows without great efforts.

I am not sure how I will do the beta testing yet. Probably closed beta.
But right now, it is still in Alpha anyway. If you want to try it, go to and download the latest Alpha for Linux or Windows.

@pickten The video here is ancient. Also this is just an alpha versin right now. Don't judge it because of that.

@Erinduck There will a couple of additional features like troopers that fight the enemies or towers where you have to shoot in first person view and (unlike in the video) you also have to define the way yourself with your towers (sure, this has been seen in a lot of other games yet)

What makes this any different than every other tower defense game ever made?

Huh, this seems like a cool game, if you improve the graphics and spicen up the story, this will be pretty good! Good luck!
