Description
King becomes subject as the cursed sword 'Insanity's Edge' warps the mind of all who wield it. The Skeleton King becomes more ruthless than ever, as the sword craves only one thing: The sanity of any who touch it. The "Edge of Insanity" clearly shows the King's degradation and loss of individuality, and also looks pretty intimidating to boot. And before anyone comments on the texture in the portrait view being so "smudgy", it's not that big of a problem because it looks fine in-game. But the strange thing is, if you compare the item's thumbnail or the presentation render with the portrait view, you wouldn't say it, but that is actually the same texture at the same resolution. For some reason importing it, or even the original 2048x1024, causes it to look like that, so I honestly can't get it to resemble the render any better.

But as I said, it's not that bad when seen in-game, and it never shows up in the portrait.

@Beanieboy: We're talking about a man whose bones are magically animated, I think he can handle it :D

@59: I've considered that, but that would cause some problems with the handle. It would float there, rather than being held, and changing the proportions to accomodate for that looked pretty bad. Simply elongating the blade without reducing the overall size first would cause problems with the environment. Currently the blade is the maximum size the Skeleton King's weapon can be, lest it get stuck in the ground when he walks and such.

And personally I like the bulky look, it gives it a butcher's knife feel, or at the very least it looks like a blade that's not meant for cutting people clean in half, but rather for bashing at them a little, which fits the feel of the original.

I've added the presentation render, which I'd like to use for the collection, but I can't seem to change the background image, and also the Portrait View screenshot, which is only really relevant for Insanity's Sight, which has a higher poly model for the portrait. The other items might seem low resolution, and sometimes pretty blurry, but they were never meant to be viewed from this close (Especially Insanity's Edge, which looks pretty bad in Portrait View for some reason). I hope this provides everyone with a better perspective on these items.

IMO needs to be 25% smaller and slightly longer

looks great i really like it, i just think as a sword its very bulky looking:)
