Winterglow Estate

Winterglow Estate is a small, practical yet luxurious and stylish player home for any type of character. The house is located in the Pale by a road from Windhelm to Dawnstar. (a more precise location shown in one of the pictures).

Many thanks to Veradun!

Mod includes:

safe storage containers
display cases
a mannequin
alchemy table, enchanting table
smithing forge, smelter, armor workbench, tanning rack, sharpening wheel (located behind the house)
a personal bard
a follower
a bartender

1) There's now a less confusing route straight from the front door to the smithing area. The basement is fully navmeshed so even followers can come there with you. The bartender now sells food along with the drinks and the follower shouldn't be too powerful from now on.

2) Small improvements to enchanting and alchemy areas.

3) A little Christmas update from December 24th to January 1st. (EXPIRED)

Please rate and comment. Let me know if you run into any problems.

Hey! Sorry I haven't been very active on Steam lately. It's named "playerhouse.esp", which isn't very helpful to be honest...

Arikuda: Thank you for your review. Your recommendations make sense and servants quarters and other changes are doable if greatly desired.

Quick Review: Great house, great location, I felt the sauna, prayer temple to Talos, and the bar were the highlights of the house. My only recommendation for the author would be to either add a servants quarters for the house NPC's, or remove them from the house to improve immersion.

HaxorousTheRaptor: The ENB I used at the time of those pictures was Project ENB (Realistic version). The worldspace where that mod took place had no weather patterns etc. implemented, so the lighting always looked like that. If you were to download the same ENB, you wouldn't usually get the same atmosphere, because the settings I had set for that world had an affect on the lighting. So it was a mix of the ENB and the climate settings I had for that worldspace.

Sanguinius: When you walk in to the house, look right. The key should be hanging on a hook on the wall. If for some reason it isn't and you can't find it on the ground, then you can use a console command: "player.additem 3c084eab 1" to retrieve it. I hope this helps.

Question: Where is the key to the basement? I swear, I've looked everywhere in the house.

The lighting and the atmosphere is amazing in those Imgur screenshots! What kinda of mod are you using?

Thank you. Yes, I'm pretty pleased with how this mod turned out. Of course there are many aspects of the house that might need some improvements. I haven't been updating the mod in a long time and I'll continue not to, unless greatly desired. Minor/major updates could be implemented if wanted, but I'd upload them as an optional/seperate update rather than modifying a mod some people are already accustomed to. So if there's anything that you people would really want, then I'm sure I can find some time to make those changes. I haven't been modding Skyrim at all recently but some time ago I had really huge projects going on. Unfortunately they would have required too much time and effort to complete and thus they're at hold. Here are some work-in-progress pics:
