Winterglow Estate is a small, practical yet luxurious and stylish player home for any type of character. The house is located in the Pale by a road from Windhelm to Dawnstar. (a more precise location shown in one of the pictures).

Many thanks to Veradun!

Mod includes:

safe storage containers
display cases
a mannequin
alchemy table, enchanting table
smithing forge, smelter, armor workbench, tanning rack, sharpening wheel (located behind the house)
a personal bard
a follower
a bartender

1) There's now a less confusing route straight from the front door to the smithing area. The basement is fully navmeshed so even followers can come there with you. The bartender now sells food along with the drinks and the follower shouldn't be too powerful from now on.

2) Small improvements to enchanting and alchemy areas.

3) A little Christmas update from December 24th to January 1st. (EXPIRED)

Please rate and comment. Let me know if you run into any problems.

I absolutely love this mod!

It sure is! Sorry that I haven't been aswering the questions. Haven't been very active at modding lately. I most likely won't be updating this mod anymore. If you want to make personal changes to the house, add weapon racks, mannequins etc., it's fine by me.

You cannot move your children into the house. I believe there's a mod for spouses to live anywhere but for children I'm not sure.

If the npcs are missing it is most likely some kind of bug. I've had it myself too.

If there's problems with the lighting it's probably caused by a light mod. It should work well with vanilla Skyrim.

Can you have your children move into the home too?

Gah! I would have downloaded this for sure! (If only i had Dawnguard). This house is very nice and fantastical compared to all the others which seem to overdue everything. This looks cozy and practical - whereas most of the others have 20km pools and all sorts of other crap. Once i get the DLC I'll put this in my game for sure.

i just started a new game and the barkeeper, bard and the follower are missing. or do they appear at a higher level?

2nd thought - I just found this mod and for the most part it is a keeper as I was looking for a home in this general area. :)

The Smelter area - since this is outside in the snow cold temp, how about a roof type covering for a little protection? Just a thought.

I like this whole lay out. But I have to agree, I had to use Mage Light to see what was in the house. I was even surprised to find a nice aquarium - but had I not use Mage Light, I would not have known it was even there. All I saw was the shadow of a cabin.

Going to use lantern & Candles to light it up ... but you might want to think about better lighting?

Love this house. It's beautiful, elegant, yet simple. Too bad it requires Dawnguard because now I have to find another modded house in the Pale for my Vanilla Skyrim game profile.
