News Update 1.1!

S.H.I.F.T.T.D. is a first-person puzzler game that drops the player (without a clue about his situation) into a cold, sterile, ultramodern enviroment that has the label "HEXA" or it's strange emblem on almost everything. After a short while, you become equipped with a (stolen) S.H.I.F.T.T. device, or Super HEXA Internal Force Telekinetic Transmission Device, which defies modern science and/or proves it completley wrong with the power to "transmit" your essence and conciousness (some may say your "soul") into any mechanical and non-shift-proof object, and use it. But! Your body is still left wherever you left it, so be careful not to break it. Things could get very weird.

This power comes in handy in some half built areas where some machinery might be exposed. Deactivate lasers to help objects move along, or shift into a huge, deactivated robot and smash your way through barriers. There also may be a few "awake" robots around, and by the looks of those red lights on them, they don't think of you as "friend"...

Of course, the (cliche) A.I. voice makes an apperance, but something seems off about him. Let's just hope that stuttering and note of terror in his voice is nothing but some audio error, or lag, perhaps.

What is HEXA?

Why are you here?

Who are you?

What do you want?

Did that shadow just move a little?

Is that robot... singing?

Do you even get the super-sure sense that hostile eyes are watching you?

Don't utopian areas like this one usually turn out to be a death factory or something?

Why the heck is this A.I. your friend, anyway?

And what the heck is going on?

S.H.I.F.T.T.D. brings you to a strange, new world where things are easly not claimed what they truly are...

-High-tech technobabble!
-A decent plot, for a first game!
-Made by the semi-one-man team, The MechaPress, which is awesome and also does writing!
-Physics defiance!
-Wild, boring to any non-geek, ideas and concepts!
-Also made by a guy who draws concepts for this instead of taking notes! (You are not alone, people!)
- And (probably) much more!

So, what are you doing? Spread the word, and this hatchling of a game will soon soar the digital skies of the internet, sweeping though clouds of win and looping over planes that are like sandwiches of cool!

(I am a trained professional, do not use these metaphors and similes without proper protection and training!)

Sadly, I don't know a clue about scripting, which is why I was looking for a software in the first place.

You can add as many scripts as you want in unity. so if you know scripting.

I like what you said there, but I WANT to defy science. That's my "thing" if you will. That's how I make this stuff up, in fact! Thanks anyway, though.

I like the concept. It would it make more sense to me have a theme of mind uploading (or at least cybernetics). Then transferring consciousness wouldn't be defying science it would be hi-tech science.

This is just an idea for now, but I hope to get this wonder off the ground sooner or later! I'm going to be honest: it's probably going to take a long while.

Any kind of preliminary designs yet? Or just a brainstormed idea for now?
