Medium-hard difficulty.

I have been wanting to fix an exploit in this map for a long time and I wasn't sure the best way to do it. That, and I made that maneuver this chamber is based on a little easier to perform if set up properly.

I mean I didn't know what rail oscillate meant, I know all too well the crap maps in the workshop. @.@

hey, I didn't know what it meant, then again I've only had the game a few months so at least I have an excuse. But thankfully i have you guys to educate me and help me learn all there is to know about the in-game editor and Hammer. :D Keep testing!

I've played so many maps that use the rail platform and very rarely someone actually disables rail oscillation. I have found through playtesting that when people use the rail platform, it is best to disable the oscillation rather than have it enabled. Disabled offers a better puzzling experience. I don't know why people almost always have it enabled but my main guesses are that people don't know the option exists because people think it is similar to the piston platform as it doesn't have such an option or don't know what the word "oscillate" means. I wouldn't be shocked on my second guess because of the braindead designers' crappy tests I've played, which take up 99% of the workshop.

@TS_Mind_Swept, you have to uncheck the "rail oscillate" option. Standard puzzlemaker option for all rail platforms.

That was diabolical what you have to do to solve that one, it's very rewarding though (if you mannage to pull it off :p) It took me forever to figure out that you have to grab the cube when ur flying to keep from dying, and if you miss, you're a gonner. The second room I figured out faster cause I knew I had to do that, but I had to realign my portals so that I could be closer (I missed the 1st time). great technique, I'm going to use it in the future. One question though, how did you get the rail platform to stop on one side? whenever i add one it goes back and forth when it's activated and it's kind of annoying. :s 8.5/10
