Silent Horizon is a game concept I've been developing for the past year. A Multiplayer shooter with procedurally generated worlds and maps, the whole idea being based around isolation in a large unfamiliar world. Inspired by works like Gone with the Blastwave.
Players explore a dystopian future where most of the world has frozen over leaving a vast snowy wasteland for players to traverse.
Many of the games mechanics and designs are explained in the pitch booklet pages, seen through the screenshots.

This is my first time doing something like this as far as putting out a game concept out for public viewing.
I'm only looking for comments to help develop and critique the overall design to make the game better.

As far as development goes, this is only in concept stage as I am going to be studying 3D game Animation in Halifax, Nova Scotia for the next two years from October 2012 to October 2014. Between now and then I'll be updating on the booklet notes and designs.

I've been passively following your deviant art page for a while. I have to say that even though you treat your work with a pessmistic regard, I find the monochromatic gasmask mook theme has a lot of flavor to it. It sets a feeling of bleakness and impersonality that's on par with that of Metro 2033 and other works... but with so much less clutter. It's 'flavorful' but not at the same time, which I find to be an impressive accomplishment.

I hope to see this game get made. I find the insistance of all first person shooters being Run-n-gun to be increadibly annoying and stale. Slow paced gameplay needs to be seen again, something that requires a bit more thought besides "If it's hostile, shoot it". Due to the need of balancing resources and the variables the whole survivalistic mechanics, this could be the game for me.

Good Art. Good Concept. Good Mechanics. Sounds like the game for me.
