Description
Join Penumbear on his escape from a dank castle basement. Penumbear has the unique ability to walk on the edge between light and shadow. With the help of his tagalong firefly, Penumbear can turn lights off and on throughout the castle, casting shadows that dramatically alter the layout of each level. Help Penumbear solve puzzles, escape dangerous monsters, and defeat towering bosses on his journey to freedom.

The game is still early in development but you can check out a video of the gameplay here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShzZC1br3fU

The video is captured from the desktop version, but some of the screenshots shown are from an iPad build.

All feedback welcome!

having played through 50% of this on iphone, this game continues to amaze. my only complaint is that the controls though better realized than any other platformer on iOS, really would be better suited to a discrete controller. consider this a vote for further developement towards steam!!!

Originally it was iPad only, but I've been working on making it feel right on iPhone for the past few weeks. We will probably need to restrict it to newer phones, but I'll definitely get it running smooth on at least the 5 and 4S. I still think it feels best on the bigger screens (iPad & desktop). Thanks for the favorite!

Just wondering will the iOS build be for iPad only or the iPhone/Pod too? (btw Favorited :D)

I actually sent a message to Cry asking if he would, but I never heard back.

This looks to me like it's almost finished, the graphs are comic style but nicely rendered and shaded, the concept is unique and complex which makes it very interesting and it's not unnecessarily focused on gore and brutal aspects.
Thumb's up! :)

Nice idea -- i agree there should be more atmosphere, though.

:) Thanks! I'll post some updated screenshots of a new area I've been working on in a couple days. There are still a few touches before it is ready for human consumption.
