The Battle of Thermopylae

The Battle of Thermopylae was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states, led by King Leonidas of Sparta, and the Persian Empire of Xerxes I over the course of three days, during the second Persian invasion of Greece. In this map you'll emulate Leonidas after being betrayed; with some of your forces (historically, the spartans) you'll have to defend yourself from the attack through the beach while with the rest (historically, the phocians) you shall defend the path through the mountains revealed by Ephialtes.

This map is designed to be played as 1vs2 or 2vs4

1) Set yourself as defender when playing against IA (if not, IA will wait for you to exit the pass)

2) In multiplayer, DO NOT set more than two defenders (the game may crash)

3) Thumb up if you enjoy it! ; )

READ THE DESCRIPTION PEOPLE! This is not about the 300 holding off at thermopylae, but rather about their greek allies holding off a persian assault at a mountain pass. This is historically accurate, the greek forces where betrayed and had to defend themselves from 2 sides, instead of holding up all the persians at the chokepoint next to the sea. That's also why the spartans and few others stayed at thermopylae, the other greek forces were ordered to retreat after they had been betrayed and some forces, including the spartans were left behind to buy the retreating forces some time.

Thermopylae was in between mountain and a sea, not two mountains.

You realize Thermopylae was inbetween a mountain and a sea.
It was not a pass.
