Version: 2.0
==========
UPDATE: NOW WITH MORE STAVES FOR ALL SMITHING TYPES!

Adds a craftable and upgradeable quarterstaves to Skyrim.

I know there are other mods out there that add quarterstaves, but I wasn't satisfied with
them since they were either not lore-friendly or I thought they were the wrong speed or length
when compared to real quarterstaves.

The staves are about the same speed as War Axes, but they have a reach much
longer than any vanilla weapon. It counts as a warhammer and benefits from Skullcrusher.

To craft the weapons, go to the forge; the first staff will be available under the "wood" category. The rest will be unlocked with their respective smithing perks.

Compatibility:
==============
Should be compatible with everything as far as I know.

Bugs:
=====
Version 1.1 and above should more or less be bug-free now. If anyone discovers anything, let me know.

==========
Changelog:
==========
2.0: Added in staves for all the vanilla smithing types. Changed the upgrade requirements, weight, and value
for the wooden one to fit in with vanilla Skyrim's weapons.
1.1: Optimized, cleaned, and changed weapon type to warhammer. All thanks to epbreen.
1.0: First Release.

A BIG thanks to epbreen on the Nexus for cleaning, optimizing, and fixing compatibility for Version 1.1

Special thanks to TheMalfazar on the Nexus for prodiving a really useful guide on how to get a weapon
in Skyrim (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16985)

Also to Headbomb for providing a useful guide on creating a good mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6882)

Finally, to Bethesda for the Creation Kit, the textures for the staff, Skyrim, and all that other good stuff. :P

Permissions:
==========
Assets from this mod may not be used for "for profit" work.
But besides that, feel free to do whatever with it as long as credit is given.

===========
Future Plans:
===========
1. I'll probably add a Dragonbone staff at some point if there is demand for it.

2. Integrate the staves into leveled lists.

3 and above. ???????

Make a dragonbone staff please! :)

For anybody wondering, European quarterstaffs were held in a manner similar to spears or halberds, being swung or thrust. The idea of holding quarterstaffs with both thumbs towards the center is more modern and not native to historical European quarterstaff fighting.

Excellent. Now I can carry a big stick, speak softly (or Shout, lol), and still go far. A Dragonbone staff would complete the awesomeness; please consider it!

I just used the daedric quarterstaff, and i have no idea why, but it just decapitated someone. Dont change it cuz i want the enemy to know i defy logic and physics.

Can't wait for leveled lists, if it ever happens. That's my favorite part of your generic armors.

was literally thinking about this only hours ago, wish it functioned like an actual quarterstaff, but that would be quite a lot of work, so good job!

I don't believe that mods adding differing items of the same name would conflict, as they would have different item codes (The thing you get in the console when typing something like 'help "Steel Armor"').

Great work!
