Random Alternate Start

Don't forget to vote if you like this mod!

Be anyone you want to be. Choose from 21 different loadouts then get randomly thrown somewhere in the vast land of Skyrim. Will you end up in the royal court of Solitude's magnificent Blue Palace or will you end up at the bottom of a dark, dank, necromancer-infested mine shaft and have to fight your way up to the surface? With 463 starting locations (and more being added) you will never enter Skyrim the same way twice! What will your story be?

Random Alternate Start is even better when used with the Character Creation Overhaul mod:

As seen on Start 2 Continue:

- Choose from 21 class starting kits each with it's own semi-random loadout
- Start in one of 463+ locations in Skyrim after character creation
- The Main Quest thread can be picked up by investigating rumors of dragons near Helgen
- Very light footprint ensures clean integration with the main quest and maximum compatibility with other mods
- Best used alongside Character Creation Overhaul

Random Alternate Start is compatible with virtually all other mods, except for other alternate start/quickstart mods.

Subscribe through Steam Workshop, download using Nexus Mod Manager, or download manually and copy all files in the 'Data' folder to Skyrim's 'Data' folder then enable the 'Random Alternate Start.esp' file. Random Alternate Start should be at or near the top of your load order to avoid any mod conflicts.

To uninstall this mod, simply disable the 'Random Alternate Start.esp' file and delete all the related files from Skyrim's 'Data' folder.

- If you run into Hadvar or Ralof they may bring up references to the dragon attack at Helgen as if you had been there. This will be corrected in the next release.
- If you experience crashing, hanged loading screens, continuous loading, or broken dialog for the Whiterun Gate Guard or Jarl Balgruuf you need to move the "Random Alternate Start.esp" to the bottom of your load order.
- Memory intensive hair mods can also cause crashes at character generation.

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—-of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life." - 1 Timothy 1:15-16

@Dhoulmagus: Wait for Steam to sync the mod after you subscribe. Make sure Steam is launched.

This worked really well, thank you so much! It was really great to not go through the boring lengthy vanilla sequence!

For some reason it is not appearing in my data files, any assistance on that?

Hijacki, do you have skse? If so, do you have the latest version? Also, do you have all dlc? You might have a mod that requires dlc, if you do not have the right dlc then it will cause skyrim to crash
The mod did work when i first installed skyrim though but my skyrim started to crash alot so i reinstalled it then thats when mods stopped working
I have even looked online and they just say reinstall or check the things you put and I do but they still don't help
Ohhh it's cos it wasn't last in the load order thanks but i'm not sure it will work cos every mod in my data files don't work but they say subscribed they have been synced and they have a checkbox but when I start they don't appear in game.
Is there something wrong with my skyrim i have started a new game multiple times i have reinstalled it multiple times and I'm not completing the main story again I've completed it 3 times on the xbox

hah :p sorry it was misleading. I actually even took the descriptions straight from Morrowind, but I know it's not intuitive for ppl who aren't familiar with Morrowind. FYI there are other magic classes that don't use heavy armor like Mage and Battle Mage

I know that, but your summonary (Get it? Summary and summon....) was kind of misleading :P Great mod though
