For those with a passion for archery, Inside Faendal's house in Riverwood you will find a chest with your name on it. On top are 2 books. One book teaches you various perks in the Archery, Sneak, Speech and Illusion trees. The other book teaches you how to evade attacks. The Chest contains some enchanted light armor and a ring, as well as a decent starting bow and some arrows.

The combat evasion helps to solve the problem of archers not leveling armor and therefore never getting armor rating bonuses from perks.

The Ring is to account for the fact that without leveling light armor you will never get Windwalker.

The chest is yours to use to store things and will not respawn.

"The Way of the Ranger" teaches the following perks:

"The Art of Evasion" teaches ability - Ranger Reflexes: 50% chance to evade melee attacks.

Chest contents:
-Hunting Tunic: Sneaking is 15% better (improvable)
-Hunting Hood: Bows do 15% more damage (improvable)
-Ring of Renewal: Stamina regenerates 50% faster
-Ranger Bow: Base damage=11, moderately fast (improvable)
-100 Steel Arrows
