The High Road

A "Wheatley" map revolving around using a light bridge as a column. Video is a playthrough.

R1 - Release
R2 - Fixed being able to bypass part of map, made portal placment easier at certain area

The logic is there but is kind of hard to tell that you are flying higher than the portal wall, not communicating the idea very well to the player. I think raising the pedestal button higher than the portal surface and having the player climb to push it first hand but still be able to fling to it as well may solve the problem but not sure.

I solved it by Grabbing the cube , not pressing the respawner. .

Wonderful Wheatley-themed test. My main complaint is that you're missing the explosion ambience (there's an instance: instances\destruction\destruction_ambience.vmf).

4 Portals, no cube, no bridge....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT9OPuV9hpc. Nice map though...this is not something you need to fix IMO, just thought you might want to see it.

My way was not much different.
I got onto the bridge by shooting the second portal just before hitting the vertical bridge. So I didn't use the cube.

How did you do it without using a cube? Also there is a video to judge yourself against the "proper" way.

I'm not sure if I did it the "right" way, but it took me some time to find a way. Once you know how to do it it can be solved within seconds. But I still don't know how to solve it without fast portal placement, or what the walking cube is for.
In any case the level looks fery nice.

• Could easily be mistaken for a campaign map;
• Clever puzzle;

• Use of Campaign content is basically superfluous;

A great concept fleshed out with a lot of detail, the only thing wrong here is what you've already heard.
