VVVVVV is a game that people say is hard. I think it's somewhat challenging, but there is very hard stuff (like no death mode) in the game. The challenges are fun (mostly), and encourage you to keep going through with checkpoints aplenty.
VVVVVV is about exploring the mechanic of flipping gravity instead of jumping, as stated in it's description. A whole game being about one thing might seem like it'll get stale after a bit, but it really doesn't. It gets you thinking that you've mastered that single mechanic, until you get to the next room that kills you repeatedly.
It's also fun enough to play through repeatedly, and you'll just keep coming back until you get that less than 100 deaths trophy. But, y'know, you'll probably want that less than 50 deaths trophy afterwards, and you probably will try to get it. And after a handful of playthroughs, you might actually make it. (But, y'know, you'll probably want the no death trophy afterwards, but, yeah... That's not likely.)

I would give VVVVVV a 9/10, beautiful.
