Let me say right off the bat that this game isn't like the original FF7 on PS1 (and on Steam) - though that's probably well-known by now.

For what it is, the first part in a trilogy, the game is surprisingly decent fun; sure, it's not my favourite JRPG (it's no Xenoblade Chronicles or Chrono Trigger DS or whatnot), but it's still well worth my time. It's no longer fully turn-based, instead going for a mix between that and action combat, where you can attack freely in order to build up your ATB gauges, allowing for the usage of spells, items, or skills. Frankly, I don't mind this change; it's not as wildly, and off-puttingly, different as FF15's combat, and still pays tribute to the original FF7's combat.

In order to pad the relatively-short Midgar section of the original FF7 out into a full-sized game, some areas are made larger; I understand why this had to be done, and I don't "hate" it, but...eh. It's something.

However...Square Enix, WHY DID YOU CHANGE YOUNG TIFA IN THE LATEST SURPRISE UPDATE? For those that aren't aware, in the latest update (a surprise drop alongside FF7 Rebirth's release on PS5) one cutscene was modified - it's a flashback to Cloud's youth, where Tifa wore a cowgirl outfit. In previous games, and originally in this game as well, she wore a white top with nothing underneath, which was fine as nothing explicit was shown (of course not).
Now, the cutscene was modified so that Tifa's wearing a black bra underneath the top. It's a minor change, but if it's so "immodest" and abhorrent for her to be braless...why not change it earlier, huh? Squeenix was clearly fine with the original for years, only for it to be changed in Rebirth, and thus had to be altered in Remake as well.

While I don't like this game anywhere near as much as DOOM (2016), due to that game having a far tighter story completely contained on Mars, not rewriting 2016 lore, and being far more focused on the singleplayer adventure, Eternal is still a rather good game.

It's still got the same stylish combat, with some improvements like the super-shotgun hook and dashing, and the levels present are still quite fun to play through. It's still HELLA CHALLENGING if you like that sort of thing, as well.

This is one of my favourite PinkTea games, despite its obvious age - I do love games that allow me to twist cute girls into submissive, masochistic slaves, and this is a particularly great game for that. Bondage is always good, as well, and this game has plenty of it.

This game is a fun spin on the Persona gameplay, going instead for a more tactical style akin to games like XCOM and Mario & Rabbids. However, unlike Mario & Rabbids, the mechanics and general gameplay are fare more enticing, due to the general faster pace of player movement, not to mention Persona skills and fusion.

The new characters introduced here, such as Toshiro and Erina, are also (as usual for Persona) quite well characterised and constructed; while it's obviously not nearly as good as Persona 5 Royal's litany of well-constructed characters, it's still something.

I can see why people wouldn't like this game - frankly even I've got the opinion Atlus is milking the P5 cash-cow, and the gameplay isn't for everyone, and some could call the story a little generic for the Phantom Thieves - but I'm having a great time with it.

This game is very good, with highly enjoyable gameplay. However, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you play the previous game (Human Revolution) first since it properly introduces the characters and general story - without that experience, you're likely to be lost.

This game definitely improves upon HR's Augmentation mechanic, not only condensing some of the previous game's extraneous Augs into others (streamlining the returning Augs), but also introducing plenty of highly-enjoyable new Augs. This alone makes Mankind Divided stand out from its predecessor, especially since...

Well, the story of this game is definitely not quite as good as Human Revolution's story; not only is MD significantly shorter, but the plot is not nearly as enjoyable - of as high quality - as that of HR. It's not a total failure, but the main draw of this game is certainly the gameplay.

The added monetisation also sucks, since the series definitely did NOT need it shoved in. The mobile game-styled "Breach mode" is also very lacklustre, can safely be ignored completely, and was a complete waste of development resources. Oh, and the special DLC items you can buy? Instead of what most games do, and make DLC items available across every New Game, in this game once they're added to your in-game inventory they can NEVER be used for future saves.
This means that the only way to "keep" these DLC items across saves is to start a New Game and, as soon as gameplay begins, immediately add the items to your inventory, then save the game in two different slots. Then, whenever you want to replay the game, you have to use the first save slot as the basis, meaning not being able to view the first cutscene.

Definitely not ideal, that "solution".

So this game's definitely very fun to play, but held back by an average plot at best (that ends in a cliffhanger, since this was meant to be part of a larger game that got split in half - and we know next to nothing about that other half, so far), and forced-in monetisation and extremely stupid DLC item handling.

This is a decently-good game currently, with quite pretty visuals and enjoyable gameplay; I just wish upgrades weren't so damn expensive and the amount of starting cash was higher.
Several upgrades cost tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of in-game cash, particularly the fourth-tier ones, and getting that much cash ain't easy, forcing you to rely on spamming weaker towers instead of getting a few powerful ones. Compare this to BTD5, where stuff was nowhere near as costly and as a result there were a lot more options.
The "Double Cash" extra is practically mandatory, and even then it doesn't rectify this massive flaw.

Then there's how the Village was nerfed significantly compared to BTD5 - in the previous game, the Village automatically provided a discount on towers placed or upgraded within its radius, and this discount affected all upgrades. In this game, it merely increases range for other towers, which was one of the Village's BTD5 upgrades; furthermore, the discount is now an upgrade and only works for the relatively-cheap rank 1 and 2 upgrades instead of all of them. Such a letdown.
No Bloonchipper either, when that thing was awesome.

Monkey Knowledge is decent, but I do prefer how BTD5's Tokens and Lab allowed for global buffs to starting cash amount, attack speed, weakening the blimps, faster ability cooldowns, and decreasing cash lost when selling towers.
OH - and BTD5 allowed the player to play any difficulty on Reverse whenever they wanted, in case that was more convenient for specific maps, didn't have any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CHIMPS or Half-Cash modes (those two are the absolute worst), and didn't lock Impoppable behind Hard - instead, Impoppable could be done immediately. So much better.

And why the hell is the Banana Farm significantly more expensive than it was in BTD5, and why are its 4/x/x and x/x/4 upgrades so ludicrously expensive, being almost 20,000 cash each? This just makes the whole cash issue worse, Ninja Kiwi!

I absolutely love both 999 and Virtue's Last Reward, and this duology bundle is absolutely awesome...but only on PS4.

Here on Steam, I have had persistent issues with changing video options - no matter what I try, I cannot get any changes to save and apply to launched games. I have heard advice surrounding checking Windows Security, and Protection history, but nothing ever appears there; I have verified my files, and even deleted and redownloaded the game, multiple times.

I don't know what's going wrong, but until this is fixed, based solely on my experience (since I cannot exactly verify anyone else's opinion, I can only offer my own), I would avoid this Steam version and instead suggest purchasing this on PS4.

Definitely a far better game than BTD6, this game is; it doesn't have ridiculously overpriced towers or upgrades (except for maybe Dartling Gun's 4-X upgrade, which costs over 59,000 on Impoppable), and terrain elements don't affect tower radius. Furthermore, Tokens provide much more useful benefits than Knowledge, such as reducing blimp HP or increasing starting cash or increasing tower sale price or increasing attack speed - global benefits instead of tower-specific ones.

As for monetised elements, there's zero reason to ever purchase Monkey Money or Tokens, and the only two that are worth purchasing are the Monkey Village range doubling upgrade, and the double cash earned upgrade. BTD6 doesn't have either upgrade (and alters the Village so it doesn't automatically reduce tower costs - placing and upgrading - by 10% anymore), and these two upgrades make the game far more enjoyable.

Incredibly fun game, with quite a few comfort upgrades to the original Newgrounds games (such as the timer bar being in all games, instead of only being introduced in the fifth game, and a handy map of all possible choices also being constantly available - no more having to replay entire routes just to get back to a choice).

However, the "Bios" thing is quite annoying, since some people are only available for a split-second, requiring constant redos. Ugh, nice idea but poorly executed. Also the game crashed twice for me in the brand-new Complete the Mission, so that's something, and there were a few momentary freezes throughout - nothing *too* annoying, but they show this game could use more polish, I guess.

Lastly, a handful of achievements are completely non-obvious, so perhaps a bit more of a clue...? I dunno.

Overall, definitely recommended. PuffBalls should be congratulated for their extremely hilarious series, and I hope they get to continue. If Henry's story is now over, I hope whatever's next will be just as amazing.

Fantastic game; not as polished as the PS4-exclusive Persona 5 duo, obviously, but still a wonderful experience that anyone interested in JRPGs should play. The characters are deep and well-written, the mystery plot is well-done, the combat is mostly fun (except for how the only Light and Dark skills are insta-kill, meaning filling each enemy's Analysis screen involves hoping for a Hamaon or Mudoon to actually land, unless the enemy's immune to it. Also, going from P5 to P4G can cause issues, if using a PlayStation controller, since Triangle doesn't lead to the Persona menu here - it instead activates auto-battle/Rush), and the locations visited are interesting and well-designed.

It's a shame about Denuvo, though...that should be removed posthaste, Atlus. Also please make Persona 3 FES available on modern systems, in all regions; thank you!
