I love this. I have been searching for a long time for a game that provides any REAL sense of exploration and discovery, and this certainly fufilled that. You can go in any direction from the beginning and discover a whole new biome full of bizzare crearures you've never seen before. The vast amount of evironments and animals combined with the sandbox styled base building with upgradable parts make for something very fun. A few of my favorite things are:

-The ability to collect eggs of the bigger creatures and hatch them in tanks (or whatever they're called).*

-The two submarines, which allow exploration without having to worry about oxygen.

-How deep the trenches and valleys go.

These features all make the more immersive and enjoyable. That said, the game has a few minor issues.

-First off, decorative rocks and lichen don't load untill you're close to them. This is a very minor complaint, it just bothered me when i looked out my window and the landscape was less beautiful than it was up close.

-Secondly, you can't see very far across the water, making it hard to find islands and get your bearings.

-And lastly, it can be difficult to tell what to do the first few times you play. It would be great if them implemented a "First Time Player" box when you started your game, which gave you hints (which is not to say the computer isn't helpful, because it is).

So in conclusion, If you're looking for a game to give you a break from shooting at the same things on the same map again and again, this is your game.

I love this. You can do something new everyday, and there's a mod for everything. So you can be pretty much any character ever. Also, it runs on everything. A dying macbook could run this. That's not to say it wont lag out a super computer (Because it will). Recommended mods are Dino-D day pill pack, Nuclear Bomb Pack, and the Hyrule gun.
