I got it in a bundle and spur of the moment decided to try it.

I finished it in like 90 minutes. If I can beat your game in under Steam's 2-hour return policy, why are you charging $15 for the standalone game? It reminds me of those old free flash games. Key word there being "free."

There needs to be more here to warrant the asking price. Can not recommend it as it is.

Haven't played it in a year. Neither have the devs.

Wait until it gets more updates. As is, you might as well just play SWAT 4. Tacticals don't seem to work on anyone but you and your team, and if you're playing single player, your team's less intelligent than a rock. You'll kill more than you arrest, or will be killed by enemies that will clip through the walls. This isn't hate, mind you. It's a week or so old at the time of this review so if there were no glaring issues I'd be worried. I'm hoping that with further updates to AI, tacticals, and overall weapon and tactical expansions this becomes what it has the potential to be. Is it there now? No. Will it get there? Yeah, maybe, if the devs do the right thing. Keep an eye on this one, but I'd wait for now.

It's an interesting game at first, but it wears out its welcome very quickly. Hopefully as it develops more we see more incentives to continue playing.

Play the free demo instead. You won't be able to save your progress but then you can't do that in the full game either. It's got a lot of potential but it also needs a ton of work. I'll be hoping to see more work put into this, and if it gets to a good place where you can play it properly, then I'll try again. Until then, it's a nope.

As far as single player goes, this game is repetitive. The graphics are nice and the sound is good. The combat is very clunky. If you run out of ammo you can either run or fall back on melee, which has iffy hitboxes. You pretty much have to be touching tips with the zombies to guarantee a strike, though this also means odds are good you'll get hit too because the melee attack animation is slow to end. So you have to run in, hit, hope the hit counts, then run out before the zombie hits you back. granted, I'm not very far into it but this feels like a step down from the previous game. You can't strafe around them. The guns work about as you would expect, but with improved animations and sound effects. What i don't get is why we can't reload and run anymore.

Still, the game is worth a try at least. It's free, so if it turns out you don't like it too much you'll hopefully not have spent much more than some time on it. If you're looking for an improvement over this I'd suggest the first game.
