I don't often write reviews but when I do there's a good reason.

In this case it's because DRG is an amazing game. It does have it's flaws but most of the things I usually complain about have nothing to do with the actual game being good or bad. I've had this game for long enough to witness most of its development and I can safely say that it's well worth it. The devs are doing a far better job than most out there and I have 0 regrets having spent almost 1k hours in this game now.

9.5/10 definitely recommend

After just over 2000 hours I finally noticed I never wrote a review for this so here we go...

There definatly are some issues with this game that will never be fixed because of how fundamental they are. ClientSide2 will always be with us. However, that doesn't change the many things that I love about this game.

#1 Membership has some advantages and cosmetics can only be bought with money but the actual game is 100% free 2 play.

#2 There are regional servers and 4 different continents that are seperated but those continents are entirely open world. If you feel like it you can get your funny little quad bike and drive all the way across or form a massive armor zerg rolling for kilometers.

#3 The game doesn't tell you what to do. There are recommended objectives and only certain bases you can capture but at the end of the day you can run around the continent taking out player built bases with an anti-vehicle knive if you feel like it. (sorry base builders)

#4 You play with everyone. Since there are no noob zones and endgame zones like in some other mmos you play with all the high skill players and the noobs at the same time. You get equal chance to get stomped or wipe the floor with others which gives you the chance to play casually and get kills but in the same fight have a challenge in defeating the guy with 5K/D and 30 kills in that base.

#5 Numbers don't matter. I mean yes they do because you need skilled players to win at 35% base population but you can have just as much fun running around with just a few friends as you can as part of a full 48 people platoon.

So at the end of the day this game is well worth its issues because it has so many nice things to enjoy and as long as you have someone to play with you can find something to have fun with. Besides, it's free. No harm done in downloading it, looking for people to play with who can teach you and worst case deleting it afterwards.

This game is awsome. It is old, but it's gold. I need to say that I'm using a mod called "Thrawn's Revenge", which also made the graphics a bit better. However this game is from 2006 and still fun to play. That's what characterises a good game. It is still quite popular a decade after publishing. This is a game that truely earned my respect. Thumbs up to the creators and awsome modders who have been working on it for years and still keep going.

I don't know what to say. This game is awsome. The multiplayer is a big work in progress but that's no proplem for me. The game itself totally makes up for that. The grafics are good. It runs well. Oh and I'm playing on a 5 year old laptop and it only crashed once after a long time of fun. I don't know how many hours I played that day. So don't worry about too many game crashes. And now the jawdropping fact. There's a huge campaign mode and you can program HUGE ships down to every movement and behavior in a battle. Also in massive battles the game runs rather smooth. Though it is early acces it can get complecated (and I highly recommend going through all tutorials) it does work finr on a 5 year old laptop which is rather surprising to be honest. and that is why I freaking love this game. It has a variaty of surprises up it's sleeve. This game gets a full 5 stars from me and of course a thumbs up. Keep going to the devs. ;)

Ok where do I start. The graphics are pretty good, the multiplayer works great (at least for me I've read that someone has issues with logging into multiplayer), the story line is well done. I really like the game. Of course a lot of games these days require a good PC but you ain't getting around that. I mean mine is 5 years old and the game runs alright for a longer period of time but I can see a lot of people complaining in the community about problems with certain games. Guys, do what I do. Just save money for a better one. Everyone who has a PC should be able to save at least some money. I've done the maths and I need to save money for 2 more years to get a REALLY good PC. Meaning a new one which works a lot better. However I'd only need one that works a bit better. So 1 year and a half should do the trick. Yes it's that easy. There's nothing wrong with the game. It is most likely your PC.
(What follows was edited in later I just wanted to leave what I said earlier there for compairs)
Now only a few weeks later I find out some shocking facts. I still recommend the game itself nice story and everything, grafics acceptable. However it's almost 4 years old and has prices like a fully remasterd epicness of a video game. I checked the prices dollar and euro prices seem to be the same but 50 bucks?! Come on guys the multiplayer doesn't even work for new players. There are rumors about a remaster coming out but it's not sure for pc yet. I really hope they're gonna do it because this is just rude.

Space Engineers is a game of full awsomeness and since planets came out recently its even more AWSOME. Minecraft 1 Space Engineers 100000000000. Just to compare it.
I'm not gonna lie, there are negative reviews. I do understand that some people don't like the game in it's current state. There is a lot of lag and if you don't have a strong computer it crashes. What I don't understand is that people dislike the game entirely. Some say they don't like the game, because it crashes every time they load in. If it really crashes EVERY time, how can you can you know anything about the game itself? Something doesn't add up here.
I do have slight problems with the game myself, but I still like it. My laptop is 5 years old and I'm 14. How do I solve the problem? I f***ing save money for a better PC. Everyone who has a laptop or PC is able to save money. It may take a while but I ain't giving up, because I like this game and I wanna keep playing it.

Well since this review is ancient I decided to add some stuff to it since also the game changed.

To be honest a huge bunch changed. And from the content I've seen it inproved massively. In a recent update they changed the texxtures for literally everything and it looks so much better. without modding most ships just looked terrible or boring. now you can make completely modless ships and they look good. The game is in Beta and it improved a lot in comparisson to what it once was. several blocks and features were added that started out as mods. the devs added them due to their usefulness and also popularity. So they do check the community which is good.
some things like rotors and pistons became a bit more stable but tbh if you build a massive pile of the two together it'd probably still be a doomsday device. But that's another reason why I love this game. It does have some flaws. they're always good for some laughs. you could just mount an abomination onto an enemy ship wait till they jump or move. Because then it'll get critically damaged and you can steel it ;). that's the point. you can even make use of it's flaws.
