Love the Dynasty Warrior franchise, but I will not compare this to previous versions as I prefer to give games there own individual merits.

This is a casual hack-n-slash game with nice graphics. If you play games for the story, this game is not for you. If you love games where strategy is required to obtain victory, this is not the game for you. This game is pure hack-n-slash. The only "strategy" in this game is the path you want to take to hit achievement goals on steam.

Pros:
- Characters are unique with big selection.
- Lots of charater customization.
- Smooth game play through out main mission of taking over China

Cons:
- The optional side missions to defend, attack, assassinate..etc lack excitement as they are just smaller maps with shorter time frames to complete a set of tasks.
- Not something you can play without a controller (I mean you could play on mouse and keyboard, but thats only if you want to add an additional challenge above the games Chaos Mode)
- Not worth $40-$60 + Expensive DLC's (estimated value for game is worth $10-15 + maybe $0.50 - $0.99 DLC's at most)

Overall:
Very enjoyable, but the price is a big turn off since it doesn't offer what a $40-$60 game should have in terms of content...
