The story is great, the action/fighting is brutal and the characters are interesting. The game itself is worth playing and buying at full price, though I will not recommend the PC port.

The PC port has (at least for me) some graphical and display issues.
Another thing this game suffers from is poor difficulty design. I played on "Give me a challange", and sure it was a challange. I thought I might get some cool achievments or extra items ingame, or at least something.
But no, the game does nothing to award the player who tries to beat the game on a harder difficulty, might as well pick the easiest.
I have played Dark Souls 1-3 + Elden Ring, which are hard but mostly fair games. This game is anything but fair at harder difficulty, the bosses can choose when to be stuned, or stunlock you.
Sometimes you can resurect just to be instantly killed by the same enemy. Plus what the game is doing when you choose a higher difficulty is basically just giving the enemy more health and make them deal more damage, which is just an extremely lazy design.

Recommend buying on PC if you can get it to work without display issues, and play on the "Normal" difficulty.

Quite a dissapointment compared to Metro 2033. Some say its an improvement but I dont feel it. Played on the hardest difficulty on both games (Survival and hardcore I think it is) and feelt that Metro 2033 gave an fair experience. You can kill allmost any enemy (human) with 1-2 bullets but they can also easily kill you. But in this game I feelt that the enemy allways outnumbered me, made me empty my magasines, broke my gasmask etc.
Plus the stealth mechanics are weird, enemies could walk into me without spotting me in the dark, but they can see a dead corpse behind a dumspter miles away.

I aslo tried going towards the good ending in this game, I saved prisoners, donated money to beggars, gave away a teddy bear, spared SEVERAL surrendering enemies, saved innocents from getting killed and raped by bandits, did not attack hungry and vile beasts if they would not attack first, listened and eavesdroped on a ton of conversations, and even though a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bear tried to kill me I saved its life afterwards.
Even though I did do all of these things I got the bad ending. I set up myself for a worse playing experience to receive a special outcome from this game, and didnt even receive it.
If you cant have fun while playing a game and get a good ending at the same time, its not your fault its the developers fault. The witcher 3 for example gave me a great playing experience and story meanwhile also rewarded me a the best ending.

Some games allways label the players Good or Bad depending on how they play the game, the more fun the experience is, the more evil you are, the more boring and lame experience you have the better you are as a person (Metro games and Dishonored Games example). Dishonored the game were you play as an assassin, welp if you actually assassinate people you get a worse ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending... frick you for trying to have fun!

The story was mediocre at best, random love interest out of nowhere (probably cause the game only hade one woman character), had only two likeable charachters, the bad guys motives was bassically "Im the bad guy" and "coomunism". The first game was based on the book meanwhile this game is not I think, can hence explain why the story is lacking.

The graphics are good for its age, and it brings out the dark and horror feelings from the Metro in a good way, I have only read one Metro book and I feel like the games translate the written words into code quite well. This game has some big flaws, like story, difficulty and the choice of the ending the game gives you, but besides that if you do not try to go after a true Metro survival experience as I did, it will act as as normal, fun stealth action game.

If you wanna play Metro any of the Metro games, I would recommend Metro Exodus or Metro 2033.

This was my experience of the game, most people like Metro Last Light and they probaly do that for good reasons, if you buy this game I hope your experience will be better than mine :)

Well, the game is quite enjoyable and fun though the campaign only lasted for 2-3 hours, while I remember that when I played the second portal game the campaign was longer. Another reason why I could spend more hours in Portal 2 is because it had coop which this game lacks.
There are bonus levels and some extra levels for players that want to test out their speed.

I recommend this game during sale for 0.81e for almost everyone that likes FPS Adventure Puzzle games but paying full price I would check another review.

98% of the reviews are positive reviews, do I need to say more than that?

I have tried to write a review for this game a couple of times, if I were you I would check out AngryJoe's review on Youtube. Great story (with multiple endings), interesting characters, huge open world, lot of side missions (with multiple endings), a ♥♥♥♥ ton of lore and backstory, ♥♥♥♥♥ houses and gambling. It's a very mature game to say at the least.

Because I can write several pages of positives I will instead just look at the negatives of the game. If the story just isn't for your taste I would not recommend this game, than it will just seem pointless and boring. It's basically hack and slash + dodge (If you meet underleveld enemyies you are basically a God) if you don't play at the hardest difficulties in which you will be needed to use most of your abilities to overcome your enemy, signs, bombs, potions, abilities and different sword combinations.
