I waited forever to buy this game because of the doubt caused by all the terrible reviews about part 2. Finally, it came in a bundle with games I defintely wanted so I decided, why not give it a try.
And, my initial reaction was something like: screw this game with it's dumb puzzles and stupid story.
Which was not entirely fair.

First of all, the art is very beautiful, cute and just sort of calming to look at (probably because of the colour scheme).
Second of all, the voice acting was very good, and the writing was decent as well.

Act 1 started off brilliantly, I loved the story, and the intrigue and all the questions that started to pop up that needed answers, and I got really excited.
Most of the puzzles in act 1 were fine, not difficult, not extremely illogical or annoying.

Act 2 also started out oke, it still could go anywhere. But it didn't. The story felt extremely rushed, and I felt like they skipped over some built-up from act 1 and left some stuff hanging while kinda dumbing down the story (In my opinion).
But, It was still an ok story, could have been more maybe, but It was not terrible. Which I decided on after some post-hoc consideration.

However, a lot of puzzles in act 2 I really hated. First of all they do the same one like 4-5 times, exactly the same thing, which feels lazy. Also, some of these puzzles you need information from the one character to use for the second character, which takes away a bit from the immersion (how does this character know this information). So after I guess half of act 2 I just asked google what to do because i got way to frustrated and did not enjoy the game anymore.

So, since there is no neutral option for reviews it's a hard decision. But in the end, besides the extremely annoying puzzles, and slightly dissapointing story progression, I still decided to finish it. And I'd like to think that when I at least finish it, it was worth my time.

TL;TR: Not the greatest point 'n click ever, but fun enough when you get it cheap
