It's a fun game with a good story, but it is JANKY. Lot's of stutters (the opening video of the respawn logo stutters!), and it has to compile game files EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I start it. Don't pay full price, even if you love all things Star Wars--maybe even don't buy it at all but watch a YouTube playthrough.

Edit: You can now play offline on the Steam Deck! I repurchased the game and now am updating my review. I would absolutely recommend this game to fans with a Steam Deck.

********Original review is below********
I bought this game specifically to play on my Steam Deck, but I didn't realize it requires an always online connection--which makes single player unplayable on the Steam Deck when travelling.

If you're ok with it requiring an internet connection, it is a great game, and it runs great on the Steam Deck (or it did for the 43 minutes I played it before submitting a refund request).

Generally, I would not recommend this game because of the always online requirements--if the servers go down, you can't even play single player.

A good golf game, but less arcadey than the old Tiger games (though even those were less arcadey that most of the golf games on Steam). It's got a steeper learning curve, but it's a solid and fun golf game. I haven't tried any of the online features, because I just want to play some golf.

Price is a little high for my tastes for a 3+ year old game, but the gameplay is solid. Worth picking up on sale.

Early Access Review
This game has been early access for the better part of a decade, and is *terribly* optimized. It seems that it's no longer being developed--stay away and do not waste your money.

This is the game that convinced me to never buy early access games again.

This is a fun game with both coop PVE and PVP elements--however, if you don't buy the seasonal content, you will be at a disadvantage, and there is less to do each season (which could be a benefit, which I'll explain momentarily).

The game is very, very grindy. You could just play it for the story, and plenty of people do--but if you do that, you won't get much opportunity to play high level content, which means there's some equipment that you may not ever get.

Seasonal content/DLC does not transfer between platforms, though the game does now have crossplay, though there are significant differences between PC and console implementations, even when using a controller on both.

Also don't try it if you use Linux--although Easy Anti Cheat is now supported by Linux/Proton, Bungie has not implemented it, so you can't play.

Update: AT launch, this was a game that crashed a lot but was playable. Now I can't play for an hour without it crashing--usually much less. If the 1.2 update later this month fixes the crashing, I'll revise my review.

Buggy, but not game-breakingly so. Occasional crashes, but currently very heavy on hardware reqs--paying with an R5 5600X and an RTX 2080Ti and still have to use DLSS to get 1080p/60.

Story is immersive, though other than the graphics, the game isn't anything really new--even they are just an evolution. Still, I would definitely recommend this game, though maybe wait for some more patches if you have lower-end hardware.

Solid gameplay, beautiful skies, backgrounds, and terrain.

Good writing helps keep the repetitive side-quests from getting old. I'm only on my first playthrough, but I'm already forseeing future playthroughs siding with different factions.

Definitively worth picking up on sale.

In 2019, this is a very dated-looking game. That said, it's still got a great story and decent voice-acting (it's a little inconsistent--some of it is good, some of it is mediocre, some of it is...not so good).

However, it's totally worth the asking price, and it will play on pretty much any PC--even the most potato-y of potatoes, so if you're looking for a game that your laptop can run, this is a great option.

Good story, great voice acting, mostly good graphics for the time--but there are some odd decisions in the art direction (like half-naked women on the streets) that aren't there in the ~5 year older V:tM game (though this isn't a sequel to that game).

It's a good game, and worth playing through--but really it doesn't need to cater to the male gaze quite SO much.

This is your standard match 3 game, but with characters from Marvel and leveling. If you like these three things, it's probably a good choice...unlesss you ever want to play without an internet connection.

I love in NYC, and þis would be þe perfect type of game to play on my Windows 8.1 tablet on the subway...but I can't. This is a huge problem and so I cannot recommend this game unless offline play is enabled.
