its...ok, I mean its a remaster of the old RTW, but the gameplay is definitely showing its age

spend 20 hours and I am sure this is a game i probably will invest tons of time and some money in DLC for. Although I must say, if you dont like grinding, its not for you. But what the hell, its a multiplayer game, grinding is part of the game, no matter grinding for MMR in Dota 2 or grinding for loot in RPGs. In this game, you dont need to grind for MMR but you did need to grind for perks.

If you played a couple hours in and very sure you gonna invest a lot of hours in, get the Leatherface DLC, especially with discounts, its's perk - BBQ & Chilli makes grinding points to unlock perks and items, easier, basically doubles your points per game. Making this the absolute recommended (almost must have) DLC that everyone should buy first, unless you dont plan on playing killer at all. Another DLC with top tier perk for killers is Curtain Call, the Clown has 2 perks that are top tier- Bamboozle and Pop Goes the Weasel

If you completely dont want to spend on DLC, look out for BBQ & Chilli in the Shrine that resets every week, grind 2000 shards and get it if it spawns. Also get any top tier perks that Youtubers recommended. But its pretty much up to luck that way.

optimization isnt good, it plays badly even on beefy specs.

it isnt bad per se, just in comparison with other total wars.

Now why would still i recommend it ?

Short but sweet

Fun and interesting campaign. timetravel mechanics like Dishonoured 2 and rotating level are fun but may be nauseous to some. Campaign is around 5 hours, but never boring, keeps you engaged. Its a long time since I have this much fun

I would love to recommend it but prefer the original M&B, its controls as not nauseating as Warband, i really wanna love Warband, but I am nauseating and close to vomiting after playing its combat for an hour. And the combat, even if you aim the swing with the mouse, you swing or character is prone to twisting its body which results in lots of miss and that nauseating feeling.

Dont get me wrong, its an awesome series. But the controls in original are playable for me while Warband had me resting on the bed after almost puking

Unit variety isnt great, but the campaign side was very much better than previous TW

Quit on it at the start of the year, tried it again at the end of the year. Enjoyed it with some improvements made during that time

The zero grav mechanics are cool but I ran into a couple bugs barely an hour into the game and the jokes aint that funny too. Stick to BL2

If you live RTS and you like WW2, this may be for you, but personally I suck at it and the campaign just feel pretty tedious, I guess I just continue play Total Warhammer 2

Its ok for cheap fun. Bought it at USD$ 0.80 equivalent of my local currency. Can't complain when its that cheap.
But at full price, just buy something else
