WAY too pretentious for my tastes.
It's like the people in Portlandia made a video game, but weren't trying to be ironic but serious.

A fragmented player base brought on by new year to year versions instead of add-ons to a base game.

A weak, difficult, and time wasting multiplayer experience brought on by said fragmentation and lack of basic functions like rank/matchmaking or even the simple ability to add someone to your steam friend's list while in game. This in addition to the general problem of online games being invisible to the player or knowing how many people are online playing at a given time - thus giving the impression of a dead multiplayer experience. Hell you can't even vote to restart a multiplayer match in-game that you might have drawn no lands in.

Confusing, overpriced DLC that often ends with people not knowing what they have bought, have already, or should have and thus ends with a multitude of complaint threads on these forums.

Slow UI, slow load/boot up, problems with card selection/assignments, & genreal bugs that seem to never be fixed year to year as one game is thrown out for the next.

This game has now 4 editions 2011,2012,2013,2014. The consistency between all versions seems to be a lack of attentiveness to increasing value to the basic player experience through debugging and improved multiplayer funcionality while adding as many ways to fleece the player of their money.

This combination of problems diminishes intrest year over year and will eventually lead to a product few want because those potentially interested have already had some form of irritation or negative experience with a past iteration of it.

The future is dim for a product that adds little - if any - value, year to year, while holding fast to the mountain of mistakes in its past.

Buyer beware.

☠☠☠ DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ☠☠☠

This is a glorified flash game.

★☆☆☆☆ Gameplay
| You control a stationary turret and shoot at objects as they come closer to you. If they attack you, you take damage. This is the entire premise of the game.

★☆☆☆☆ Graphics
| Low resolution sprites & decade-old technology are used in this game. I have a degree in Computer Science & we are taught in our second year how to make a game of this quality. I wouldn't be surprised if this game was copied verbatim from a University Book & the graphics were replaced to throw off copyright claims. The menus also shake irradically & only offer low resolution options.

★☆☆☆☆ Sound
| The game uses low-codec & low-quality sound in all spectrums of the game. Sound files will also often overlap causing sound files to warp.

★☆☆☆☆ Gameplay
| I could understand this passing on the Google Store as an actual game, but on Steam it's a no-go. I don't generally like to rag on games but this game does not pass the standards for The Steam Store in my book & should be removed immediately as it comes off as a fast cash-grab by the developers. Charging $9.99 for the game allows them to put the game at low low price of $0.99 which anyone who collects Steam Games will buy whether they are going to play it or not and the developers know this.

☠☠☠ DO NOT BUY THIS GAME ☠☠☠

★★★★★ Concept
| Create the best freerunning and parkour game ever even talked about or dreamed up, and succeed- seeing as it is the only triple-A title of its kind.

★★★★☆ Graphics
| The stark contrast in visuals and the beautifully rendered enemy designs and varied color schemes are simplistic and yet they are entirely more complex than you realize. Everything has a deeper meaning here.

★★★★★ Sound
| Sometimes, in the pitch darkness, sound is your only orientation, and Mirror's Edge boasts both a beautiful soundtrack and sound effects.

★★★★☆ Playability
| The controls might take a bit to adjust to, but once you understand them, they fit perfectly. In the hands of a capable runner such as Faith, all of the crazy moves and locomotion abilities you possess are pulled off excellently every time, and the satisfaction feels great to witness them.

★★★★★ Entertainment
| There's still nothing to compare it to, after all these years, so there can only truly be one as Connor MacLeod would say. You've got to see to believe. Despite its flaws, of which there are a few, the game is pure design and aesthetic nirvana.

Replay Value: Moderately High.

It's an amazing game - technically outstanding, showing all of Valve's usual polish and attention to detail, especially in the all-important multiplayer aspects.

The continual balance tweaks and new heroes combined with the vast amount of content in the game offer countless hours of enjoyment. It's hard to master but good wins with your teammates are incredibly satisfying. It took me a long time to warm up to, but I'm helplessly addicted and every day look forward to getting home to fire this up with my friends.

If you can spare the time - play it.

Early Access Review
★★★★★ Graphics
| The isometric graphics look incredible as the environments contain subtle touches and plenty of abandoned structures.

★★★★★ Sound & Environment
| The music conveys a frightening, isolated atmosphere as the undead groan and moan after you.

★★★★★ Gameplay
| Hands down the best gameplay of any zombie survival game; you will not find another game like it on Steam.

★★★★★ Overall
| Project Zomboid has revolutionized the zombie horror genre with its crafting and survival system. Even though the game is brutally hard, it’s a rewarding experience that will keep gamers glued to their screens. If you are a fan of roguelike and survival horror games, Project Zomboid by Indie Stone Studios is one game that you will want to add to your Steam collection.

This really takes basic solitaire above and beyond.

I love all the layouts and different goals to beat certain ones, like ice walls or rose vines. I also love the cute, fairy graphics, much nicer on the eyes than plain old cards. The added pet element adds fun as well, reminding me somewhat of pokemon. You can find eggs under certain cards, hatch them, raise them and find certain gems to help them evolve.

There are also certain bonuses you can save up funds to buy, like extra undos and power ups that work from cards you can't use. I also liked the journey/adventure part of this.

Each level has 9 levels you have to beat, and each level of nine has certain goals. Like completing X amoung perfectly, or earning X amount of $ or getting X amound of combos in a row.

I really liked all these aspects as it made a whole new game out of solitaire, adding new challenges and making the replayability high and fun! Highly recommended to all!

CS:GO Review
★★★★☆ Graphics
| The best graphics in a Counter-Strike release; both realistic and stunning. However it is not up-to-par with current AAA Titles from a studio such as Valve and the main menu layout is too clunky.

★★★★★ Sound
| Fantastic sounds that include updated voice actors for the radio commands.

★★★★☆ Gameplay
| CS:GO still delivers classic Counter-Strike gameplay as you would expect. Even with the changes over the last iteration of CS that take away its 5-Star status, GO still sits as the pinnacle of Steam FPS games.

★★★★★ Overall
| CS:GO is an incredible first-person shooter. It includes built-in mic chat, achievements, over a dozen different maps, and a handful of gaming modes that make this game a timeless classic.
