Played the demo for the 3 hours it lets you and bought the full game right away. Not horribly far into the game so far, only have 4 playable characters so far on which it seems one of them was completely optional.

Combat took a little to get used to, it almost plays like the 2D Tales games, but with that 2.5D depth some of them had before switching over to full 3D.

The art style is absolutely beautiful and has me sharing screenshots of the game with friends over and over. Wasn't expecting as many lines to be voiced as they are since it's a remake, but shockingly there are a lot more voiced options than I thought. When starting the game it gives you the option to rename your character, which I recommend not to as I kept it default and other character's have voice lines actually saying my character's name.

Overall I can't wait to get lost in this game with a couple dozen more hours! Although I see other reviewers having 90+ Hours in this which makes me excited to see how the story goes!

Honestly, the game is a movie with little plot or interest. The idea of having these arcades games mix into the narrative is a great idea, but was not really well put together here.

The story is basically nonexistent with there being no clear drive or motive for anything. "Oh look, this punk girl in school is somehow important? Sweet, can't wait to learn more about her and how the main character interacted with her!" -Me seconds before finding out she was mentioned for literally no reason whatsoever and is never seen again.

It's a neat concept, but not worth the $10. This is a glorified tech demo

About 9 hours after release and it is still impossible to log in and play. One would think a singleplayer mode would be included, but no. One would also think the devs would've made sure their game worked before putting it out for early access, but also no.

I just want a damn pirate game, is that too much to ask?

I'm glad I got this via Humble monthly instead of actually buying it for $20. Imo, it isn't even worth $5

Whatever this game has to offer is far overshawdowed by simple mods for Minecraft.

I'm just going to give my own expierence, and this might change if they actually spend time playing their own game instead of just throwing in ideas and pushing it out without actually trying the game out for themselves.

First off, loading in a new world, you are given minimal options on what your world should be like. This is given a pass, as many games do that now. After your world is made, you are put down into a building and are tasked with making your own character! The downside being you cannot name your character. You are forced to leave the name as whatever your steam name is. I shouldn't have to change my steam account name just to have a different name in a game.

After the horrible character creator, you talk to this girl who is overly querky and just a wild child type of person. So Unique.

She says she will show you around town, and then shows you a whopping two buildings before taking you to your farm and leaving you. The game at this point also heavily forces a Cat/Dog on you, with what feels like an attempt to replicate Stardew Valley, but much worse.

To have a pet, you must place down their Dog/Cat house, and then make sure that you put a food bowl out and feed them every day. The only way, at least that I found, to get the food is to go to the store and buying some, so you better get to farming early if you want to earn money for your cute little companion.

After Miss-100%Unique leaves you alone, you are tasked with going to town hall to grab your Farming Licence. Ah yes, as every great game makes sure to include a licence to take up a spot in your inventory just so you can play the game as it was intended. Perfect.

You are then tasked with building a barn for cows that the town plans on giving you for free. Way to go Devs, I just love that feeling of Pride and Accomplishment for simply walking around and talking with people and suddenly earning cows.

The Barn is given to you as a signpost, which you must place down somewhere in your farm, and then build the farm in the demensions given to you after placing the sign. So much for my creative barn ideas of having a giant barn.

Anyway, to build the barn you need a lot of blocks. You are given 50 wooden planks earlier for whatever reason, however that is not enough. You are then introduced to the horrible crafting system where you are forced to wait over time for items to be crafted at an automatic crafting station.

You want to refine those logs you have been chopping down? Put them on the saw table and every 2 seconds you get a single plank! Want to refine those planks? Place down two of them and wait 2 seconds to get a refined plank! Easy, right? Yeah, if you like sitting there for a few minutes just to get enough planks to then find out you also need glue just to make wood blocks.

At this point, I was frustrated and realized it was far easier to simply break down the buildings in town and use their walls for my barn. No one batted an eye, and I left my world with no one in town having a house, and me finally having a barn.

Overall, don't get this game. You want a relaxing farming game? Get Stardew Valley. You want a first-person voxal game with farming/fishing? Get Minecraft. Both are way better than this game.

Such a great game. Even when I haven't played for weeks or months, I always feel drawn back to play more.
