Right up my alley as an H.P. Lovecraft and Junji Ito fan. The gameplay is old-school and fun; the graphic and sound designs adhere well to the retro style that the developers sought to replicate. In terms of the content, I find the cosmic horror theme properly done, though nothing is exactly scary or terrifying, but this is fine for a point-and-click RPG. Nonetheless, the story and character/creature design are very well done.

In terms of the characters themselves, I enjoy the differences between their archetypes affecting play style. I enjoy all sorts of classes and roles in RPGs, so enjoying each character isn't a problem. Aiko is an athlete and thus faster than other characters, giving her more room to act in combat and a higher dexterity. Kirie is a student and is better at knowledge-based scenarios, but she begins with an edge on magic and so she can adapt to combat and other scenarios based on her current selection. There is, of course, also Haru - a strength-based Yakuza member, who allows for a simplistic play style of bashing horrific creatures with a baseball bat while having a smoke.

Absolutely terrific! I started playing with certain expectations of a simply Medieval story, but enjoyed what else unfolded. This game was made with love and care and it shows. I highly recommend this.
